Use mathematical induction to prove the formula for every positive integer n. 1. 3+6+7+11+15+...+(4n-1)=n(2n+1) 2. 2+7+12+17+...+5(n-3)=(n/2)(5n-1) 3. 1+4+7+10+...+(3n-2)=(n/2)(3n-1) 4. 1^3 + 2^2 + 3^2 + 4^2 + ... + n^2 = n^2[(n+1)^2]/4 Any explanation would be helpful

First you want to test if n=1 satisfies the equation. Next, assume it works for all n. Then write the sequence including (n+1). Lastly, subrtract the sum of n from the sum of (n+1).
