I'm trying to download Maple again, It wouldn't work double clicking it in the download window with firefox so I went into its containing folder and it installed, Now when I go into Start > programs > Nexon theres a "client" and a new way to get on through internet? How do I get on the client? That was trying with the "old fashion way" I downloaded through the downloader thing but I can't figure out how to do this I get a Error -30 or something when I try to go through the website

Do you happen to have any V62/ V75 folders on your comp, in other words did you play in pri-vate - ser-vers? Cause my friend did and he mixed his files up with his v62 files and had to delete his ms files and stuff and then re DL MS

No you dont need those i was just wondering, cause on some occasions that causes your MS not to work(If the MS folders where mixed into these)

It sounds like you were perfectly fine the first time you installed the game. This is a NEW WAY of starting the game. Nexon now wants you to start the game by clicking the "Play Game" button on their website instead of using the "old" way which pops up the old familiar screen with all the scrolling stuff, high score characters and new cash shop items, with the green "Play" button at the bottom. This is what you're looking for. When you click the MapleStory icon on your desktop it will open your browser to the Maple site page, and you click the "Start Game" button. (Big button, on the left of the screen). That takes you to the old familiar login page and the game itself. There ARE ways of forcing it to work the old way, but I've heard that it doesn't work if you re-downloaded the game instead of just patching an existing installation. But I suppose it's worth a try if that's what you want. Open the C:/Nexon/Maplestory folder and double-click on "Gamelauncher.exe". Click the "Start Game" button instead of the "Go to website" button. That should start the game the way you're used to seeing it. If that does work, you can delete the existing MapleStory icon on your desktop then go into the C:/Nexon/Maplestory folder again, RIGHT-Click on "Gamelauncher.exe" and select "Send to..." and then "Desktop". That will make a new MapleStory icon on the desktop that will start the Gamelauncher when you click it so it'll avoid going directly to the website. This is the way I've got mine set up and it works just fine. Unfortunately, it sounds like the best thing to do now would be to completely uninstall the game from the Windows Control Panel "Add or Remove programs" window and start over. I'd avoid the problematic Pando thing completely and use the "old fashioned way" link again. When the installation asks you where to put the MapleStory folder, RENAME it before proceeding. Near the bottom in the small box where it says "Maplestory", change it to something else- like "Maplestory2". Then finish the installation. This will install the game into a completely different folder and maybe avoid some of the errors. Fingers crossed, and with a tailwind.

So should I download it with the downloader or the "old fashioned way"? Which downloads the whole game?(client and all) EDIT: I got pando already so no need to download it again

Don't use the downloader- it's a problem in the best of times. The "old fashioned way" simply downloads the whole client install file (~>2GB) directly to your hard drive. You don't need Pando- uninstall it. It's not needed for "the old fashioned way". (Pando IS "the downloader".)

If you're having trouble from the main website, quite a few other sites carry current/nearly current (one version behind, like v.85 or something) versions of Maple. That's how I got around the bloody downloader, since the bothersome thing just caused more problems than it solved... not to mention that its F***ING SLOW! Once you have that, just go to the MapleStory main site, log in from there, then click the big "START GAME" button that spits bright orange bloom in your face, and you should be able to log in... though today Nexon seems to have forgotten to turn the bugger on >.>
