Something wrong with Basil?

So i log in and im using Google Chrome, and then a download came up and it said "v1" but i exited it out. is this a virus? o yea i was watching umm u know what like 10 minutes ago, but shouldnt it have came of faster?

It's either a drive-by download, which basil has a history of, or a false positive, which many users seem to confuse with real viruses. You can't technically receive a virus without fully and consciously knowing so, unless it's a drive-by, which of course, in this case, is highly improbable and unlikely. Next time this comes out, take a picture or just send it's URL to me if it has one (I'm assuming it's .exe?). Also, saying that IE has a better rate of receiving malware compared to other browsers, is highly inane, as it all depends on the user's common sense. Sure, I may not agree with IE's weetarded ActiveX content policy, but then again, if 60% of the world share the same views on what markup compliance should be, I guess I can't argue. Stick with Firefox though. AdblockPlus, NoScript, and use a custom hosts file. Anti-viruses are highly unnecessary, though if you want one, grab Avast 5.0 or MSE.

If by watching you mean streaming it, then no, you can't get a virus from that. It's only through internal downloading. Also, many of the reputable "you-know-what" sites, yes, I mean it - reputable pr0n does exist, are completely safe. Examples include "the hub", the "wire", and the tube of red.
