Basically, im going to draw basilers. I'm not that good at drawing heads, though...but anyway, im getting into art. Im buying a tablet, so will that enhance my drawing skills? This is it: ...cant link it.. just go to walmart.com and search for Wacom Bamboo Pen Only Tablet.

no, tablets are hard to use at first. when you first buy one, you will actually draw worse than you can on paper.

Tablets don't really enhance your drawings o.o; the only difference I see is that it's slightly cleaner... and coloring is easier... that's pretty much it o-o So unless you think you're going to use it a lot, don't buy it..

I have a Bamboo tablet. Not that one though. They are harder than regular paper, but better for drawing on the computer rather than just a mouse. Takes a lot of practice though. I recommend just getting an all-in-one printer (for the scanner) and use regular paper and just scan it onto the computer. EDIT: They are good for coloring though, but not so much if you have difficulty shading (which looks much better w/ a drawing colored on the computer).
it's a hell of a lot more versatile than any real medium (if you have the right programs of course) and the mock mediums help you experiment if you don't want to actually buy paints and stuff.
dogloverbryce : I'm not that good at drawing...any tips? (basically I cant draw hair and heads. I got eyes down perfect.)
Um. it depends on what kind of style you choose to draw in. If you like manga/anime, just read or watch as much and try to notice how they're drawn.. that's what i did :D

Try studying other basiler's drawings (not copy, though, just study and look at technique) and see how you can improve your work. And try to develop your own style of drawing too But if you're not very good at drawing, then just start out with paper and then move on to a tablet.
draw by reference learn the human body's form and structure (analyze the human skull, it's shape and cavities) Draw a lot. @above: Why the heck would anybody imitate an artist on basil? As far as I see, the only one worth imitating is Druidmight and one would be crazy to try and recreate his artwork.
Hoppesangan : Ramunesun is AMAZING at drawing. Ask him for tips
what are you talking about? I'm far from amazing. Probably the only things I can render/manipulate well are shading and human muscle.

Don't bother. Art is useless and you'll never get paid for it. Do extra math instead!
