Hey Guys I recently thought i got a bunch of Trojans on my computer, but the guy that fixes my computer said it sounds more like a rouge virus? I was wondering how to delete this without causing any warm to my computer? He said something about starting windows in safe mode with networks...what next? thanks. (Pretty much ive got a guy coming in tomorrow from a company to fix it, but if i can do it myself that would be great and save me a lot of money!)

Depends on your programs: Malware Bytes Anti-malware is useful for removing those pesky malware Avira is a good free anti-virus Spyboy S&D is decent with Superanti-spyware To boot safe mode, press f8 while starting (just before the OS loading part comes up) Note: Update all your anti-programs before rebooting in safe mode Reboot in safemode without your internet (the first option of "Safe Mode") It prevents trojans viruses etc.. from redownloading on their own

Like i said, once you boot into Safe Mode with Networking, go and see if you are able to go on the internet and download Malwarebytes . If you can, install it on your computer and run a Full scan. In cases that you aren't and still cannot run any files with the .exe extension, running this registry key may allow you to do so. Basically, Malwarebytes will be the one getting rid of it. the other things I mentioned (the running into safe mode, the FixEXE.reg file, and the RKill program) is just what allow you to run it without having the the rogue interfere with it one way or another. Also, to prevent this from happening again, I suggest you start using Firefox as your web browser and get the AdBlock Plus Addon.
