I have a little brother, and he's probably the most spoiled brat I know. My parents pamper him all the time, and give him whatever he wants. He wants a new game? My parents will have bought it for him before the end of the week. He gets a bad grade? My parents always let him slip, while they scream at me for getting a B (as a matter of fact, my brother has a 48% in his social studies class. My mom just tells him to improve his grade. Then, she screams at me and calls me failure who's going to work at McDonalds for the rest of my life for having a B in AP Chemistry). They act like he's such an angel, when he's just a little dumb ass who won't get anywhere in life (he's already flunking the 7th grade). On the other hand, my parents act like I'm a retard who's doomed to fail. I have no idea why they have to give him so many things that he doesn't deserve. I actually have to earn stuff from my parents. For example, to get my laptop, I had to work my ass off last year to be able to perform in Carnegie Hall and Paris in the summer. My brother got an iTouch and 5 DS games for "making the jazz band" (the jazz band accepts EVERYONE who has been playing for over a year). Like seriously? Does anyone else here share my pain? Sorry if I sounded a little whiny; it's just that I have to lend my brother my freaking laptop for his little field trip to Six Flags tomorrow. I'll most likely be saying goodbye to it, since it'll probably be destroyed by my brother and his friends.
FallenHearts : Let's hope they feel you have the most potential and are pushing you hard now so that you won't become spoiled. Perhaps they figure your brother will never get anywhere so they're giving him a good life now. lol.
I wish that were the case. Unfortunately, they actually think he has potential.

Sometimes they pretend they don't care and treat you badly so you'll strive harder to do good and impress them. I found out after I graduated that my dad thought I had the most potential, thus he pretended that my siblings were superior to me in order for me to try to do better than them.

Oh hey, TS. We have so much in common. My little brother and sister would get EVERYTHING they wish for. As for me, I have to work my butt off for it. My little sister's grades are the worst in the family, but my parents just say, "It's okay. Try harder." My little brother gets like straight A's because he has such easy classes, and he is in 8th grade. As for me, I have decent grades allowing me to BARELY making it to 3.5 GPA mark, and my parents says that I'm going to fail at life, or you aren't going to accomplish anything... Come on! It's high school. It's meant to be harder, not easier Mom&Dad. =w=;

My brother is pretty spoiled. He's 22 years old or something and he still lives at home and uses a lot of money. He did terrible in high school and had to go to community college and now is in university(everything my parents paid for fully and they are in debt now), and yet my parents continue to support his luxurious lifestyle, he has the nicest cell phone, nicest car, and he is lazy. I on the other hand have been keeping a consistent 3.5 GPA for 2 years and I am unable to buy material things I want due to my brother's expenses which I don't really mind, but I find very unfair.

Oh god..spoiled brats... You're not whiny at all, sometimes you just have to get it out of your system. Like...talking to someone and going on a rant and then feeling better, only to return to the harsh reality of the brat...until you figure out a way to get around that. Now then...story time. I have an older "brother" (never actually call him that now) who ended up stealing most of my PS2 games, and ended up getting my birthday present for himself, which ironically is no longer in his room, because he's a spoiled *($@^. He has also done stuff like steal $500 from my mom (not-so-rich family, kind of like the Simpsons...the upper middle lower class.) And well, my parents treat him as if he did nothing wrong. They'd usually say "forget about it". They're teaching me that it's okay to lie and steal... I mean, I have two surgeries so far, and as I'm currently recovering from the second surgery, I'm stuck doing stuff on my own, but when the 'tard asks, he gets pampered. So if my crotch is bleeding (before someone says something retarded, testicle torsion, google it.) it doesn't matter, but if the tard wants something special, he gets it. If I keep making a big deal about how I hate him, nothing happens..they mention his name so casually to me, yet they should already know that I want to kill him. I was given the chance to kill and get away with it, I would. Basically, he's 21, has no job, has a friend over every single week who freeloads, uses not having money for school as an excuse (I don't think he even graduated high school. I know he did drop out though), throws a temper tantrum and slams stuff around when he fails to get what he wants, and I still recall the times where he tried to take credit for raising me/something about my upbringing. It's one of those superior "I'm a good person, I'm going to take credit!" egos. There's more to say, but eh. There's a lot more to say. About 5~8 year's worth. I also have a friend with similar siblings...what a cruel world we live in.

How old are you?

I know how you feel my younger sister's like that. Even though I'm the oldest, I get hand me downs(from mom,aunts,etc)NOT her. Well basically she gets whatever she wants.. My dad treats her like a princess.
