I have a Trojan - Computer is F#@ked

OMFG i have no idea how it got on. I dont visit bad sites etc. never have and never will. My virus protect just went out of date and then all these notices came up saying my computer was being attacked from a trojan. ive taken the internet cords out and my external hard drives have been taken out aswell, will that stop the trojan(s) for the mean time? Im on my mac using the wireless, omfg i hope they didnt get my MS Account, but more importantly i have all my work on there due next week! Help please, anything else i can do to stay safe? can the trojan do anything without an internet connection? thanks NOTE: IT WONT LET ME ACCESS ANY APPLICATIONS IE. IVE TRIED DOWNLOADING VIRUS AND TROJAN PROTECTORS FROM MY MAC ONTO USB TO INSTALL ONTO MY COMPUTER BUT I CANT EVEN OPEN THEM!

[/quote] if that's the case and its not allowing you to open any .exe file...well, just read my old post i made recently. -copy and paste- if you are able to, download one of the RKill downloads (not the .exe one, as the rogue may be blocking those file) and run it. that will close down any virus-like activity that may be interfering with other programs (but not get rid of it), allowing you to open programs like Malwarebytes and run a scan to get rid of it. if you still aren't able to run any .exe at all, use this and try again.

Use Malwarebytes-AntiMalware to get rid of it . It's spyware that happens mostly from ads . Best choice out of all these responses [/quote] there are means to get rid of it. for example, the rogue put an registry entry that block all .exe files from running. in which, he can fix that using that registry key i posted above (apparently, it was provided with the links that CookieGuyz posted as well). or it just merely the rogue itself is directly interfering with it, as such you can close it by using one of the Rkill downloads. reformat should be the last resort. and this rogue isn't necessary hard to get rid of, if you know what you are doing. edit: btw, when suspecting that you have a virus, you shouldn't do a system restore: http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/898927/0/#1

My computer was hijacked twice over feb. break. First, search up the virus on the internet and find out everything you can about it. Then, back up everything to a harddrive(virus lets me) Then get Malwarebytes anti-malware, the free version, which kicked the virus butt both times I used it. (Download onto mac, usb over, it overrides the virus)

Best is to try using malwarbyte's anti malware and jack this to clean the PC then do a system restore. It's probably not a trojan but a rouge anti-vrius software that gets pretty annoying. I got one a couple of days ago and I did that to fix it. Download both programs on a separate PC or mac to a thumb drive and load them up on your PC in safe mode.

I would say do a system restore, but you have stuff you need on your computer. External harddrives ftw?

it's not complicsted, i don't know which OS (operating system) you are using, it's not complicated, instead of like trying to download something from internet, u might only have to take your OS cd's, put it in your drive, and repair it. Virus usually attack the Registry database and one of the only way to recover it 100% correctly is to repair from Os CD. after it's done, all your work due for next week will still be there and your compt will be perfecto

System Restore doesnt get rid of anything, just programs, no documents, etc.

My sister had problems opening anti-virus/malwarebytes and even the set-up files before when a trojan had appeared. It should be blocking it (so you can't get rid of the source of the problem), my sister changed malwarebytes file name (a simple rename I believe) and it was able to open up and run/install and got rid of the problem. Don't know if it works for your case, just a suggestion in that area...not really good at these. ;) Good luck.
