Well, for some reason, I really wanna boss. I feel as its the only thing i haven't done much of (Exploring, merching, training, but no bossing?). Sooo, what level can I be accepted on pap runs? And how long do they usually take?

The usual level for papulatus runs is at least level 100. Also, most mages (except priests) wait until 4th job, when they get their main single target skill (paralyze/chain lightning). Unless you got composition, I'm pretty sure fire arrow isn't that great to take down papulatus. Also, composition is still pretty weak, for both I/Ls and F/Ps.

Most pap runs don't want mages. If someone does decide to take a mage with them it won't be till well into 4th job when you have Paralyze at a decent level.

Other ideas might be Eliza, Old Fox, Tae Roon, King Sage Cat, Chimera. Or if you want to fight bosses just for the sake of fighting bosses and don't care about the drops, you could tackle the Dojo.

I suggest waiting for 4th job, get Lv 1 Paralyze and go try pap, only if you have a Elemental Staff though. Will take around 30~50 minutes, if not more.

My first pap solo was at level 130. It took me like 40-45min, though I had some pretty good equips (ewand6 and such). For soloing, you need to be able to consistently hit 12k damage. You'll die some times at first because of dispell till you get used to it. There aren't many random pap parties being made nowadays so your best bet is going with friends. My suggestion, if you really want to boss, is to try Headless Horseman as soon as you can hit him nearly 100% of the time (my first solo was at level 87). It's your first real boss fight (lots of HP) and gives a decent amount of exp too.

O_O And I'd wait until you can tank a hit from pap without dispel.

To avoid being dispelled at pap go up on the platform. That is as long as you have someone with you that can pin him which I'm sure you would. He cant dispell you if your up there.

And to add, Pap parties are not really around anymore, at least its not in demethos. Unless you have friends that pap alot, you would waste alot of time trying to find people to pap.

Use the listings to search for a pap party, I'm sure there will be random people willing to join

[/quote] I don't really remember how long it took me but it was pretty long. I missed him often at that level too. I only started doing HH regularly with decent speed when I got my ewand1. About pap, staying on the top platforms is risking taking 8k damage from top bombs. To avoid dying from dispell, just try to keep your HP above 1400 so you can survive most of the attacks (except touch and bomb touch) even when dispelled. Though it's possible to use magic guard as soon as dispelled if you are paying attention.

Dunno about F/P, but as an I/L I was taken 100+. Parties don't really exist, just grab some friends and go. He's not really hard at all. To solo you need to have a consistent damage of 10k+ to keep him KB'd. Soloing for me @ 171 takes ~20 minutes, same kind of time as an Anego solo these days. When I go with friends they're often 5-10 minutes long.
