Is it possible to do the following legitimately ?: 1) Set up a store on the right-hand side of the portal (ie right in the near corner of the FM room), EDIT: of rooms 1-6 and 2) Cast buff skills (or any skills, for that matter) while riding on a mount?

Shop maybe if you can lag or something. Mount i doubt you can even get near that illegitly so definatly not legitly.

Easy answer for both questions: no. There's not enough room in fm 1-6 to set up a shop on the right side of the door. Mounts disable you from casting any buffs or using any skills.
