| Eylee Why would you come into this forum and tell people to deal with it?It's so insensitive.(Now i don't really care for the 2x exp events, but everyone is entitled to an opinion and if it just so happens they feel disgusted by the behaviour of some of these people then let them be). If they can't do anything about it, the best they can do is complain. I'm sure people complain when that is all they can do, if you're tired of this complaining I actually have no idea why you continue to argue with him. |

|
Soxah : Go read what your fellow Americans are suggesting about Aussies. How dare they try and look down on us, as if we are inferior. I said a Majority. I know a large portion of great Americans, but the majority present here disgust me. Sorry darling. Oh i'm sorry, DEAL WITH IT? Oh okay, go deal with your Teen Depression, High School shootings, high crime rate and gun violence, racism towards blacks and mexicans. Go deal with it.
Yes, cause no other countries deal with any of that stuff either and Australia is perfect yes? My apologies, but I don't think a cross-section of Americans on Basil is enough to base the rest of the population on. Yes, some people Americans are jerks. So are some Australians. So are some Europeans. So are...etc I know how to laugh at myself as well. In fact, I do it quite often. "Laugh Often, Love Much, Live Well" and all that jazz. Makes life more interesting/amusing. Truthfully, at least to me, you're just spouting off the American stereotype that everyone seems to accept without question. It'd be like me joining some conversation and being, Hey you, ethnic minority, get back to your fried chicken/tacos/rice, you totally have a higher crime rate/are illegal/are super duper smart. Stereotypes wouldn't exist if they weren't "somewhat" true, but when you begin to believe it and use it as rational for hating/disliking a group of people, well, I do believe that's what we call racism. Lastly, I doubt many of them were looking down on you, so much as disagreeing with the points being brought up. Yes, I'm sure some of them do look down on you, for whatever idiotic reason they may have, but you're doing the exact same thing to Americans. Respect is a two-way road my friend. I do agree that either Nexon or another company should give Australia a shot or at least have some people/person on staff to perhaps attempt to do some events or the like for you guys (it wouldn't be -that- hard to do), but the fact is that Nexon is too wrapped up in its cozy little office in Cali to care about the Outback. I would say end them a ticket buuut yeah.... Sorry if any of that doesn't make sense. I'm hitting the 36+ hour mark with no sleep. I should probably not be typing in this condition as I'm likely to say stupid things that are incoherent. Haha Anyways, I may or may not reply as I should probably be finishing up my project that's due in 3 hours. XD |

|
Soxah : Reading these comments makes me dislike the majority of Americans even more. Most of you Americans are so thoughtless and arrogant, with a high sense of superiority over the rest of the world. I think Australians are constantly overlooked by Nexon and it's seriously loosing them quite a large amount of profit. Australia has been judged by Nexon before they even attempted to market towards us. If they were to release NX Cash Cards here in Aus, i'm quite sure they would be sold out in a matter of hours, because as it is, almost EVERY Aussie that plays has money to spare on NX, is WILLING to spend the money on NX, but we just don't have the opportunity to. Once again i am disgusted with the amount of arrogance coming from these Americans. "Nexon is based in North America, get over it, QQ", well you know what asshats, Whilst Aussies can laugh things off and get on with life, you tards are there suing each other, and pointing guns over tiny matters. Now you tell me who needs to get over "it".
Okay, let's see. It's a bit unseemly that you judge America by Basilmarket. It's a bit more so that your vehement behavior towards the Americans is because, for lack of a better word, they are right. Yes. It sucks if you're in Australia, I understand that. Yes. It's an American based server and a North American based client hence, "N.A.M.S." To infer silly scenarios like "Pointing guns over tiny matters" or inferring that Americans are unable to get on with our lives for unknown reasons. Is not something that makes your point, necessary to this thread/post, and speaks volumes of hypocrisy. Considering the very thing you accuse us of, is what you yourself are partaking in. Did I mention this is Basilmarket? Also, excellent post right here.
Etrieys : First off : The 2x Events are based around the server's location. To give Non-American players good 2x slots puts out people who aren't in the primarily targeted timezone. Could they do a revolving slot system? Maybe. But for the first part - Server is American, therefore time is American. End of story. Secondly : No, we don't get NX cards, due to tax, currency conversion, and shipping. For Nexon to ship enough cards to other countries for them to make a profit they'd need to hike the prices of NX cards considerably to cover the costs of shipping. I don't fancy paying $20 for $10 worth of NX. Thirdly : There is an alternative. Paybycash. It gives you NX just like the NX cards do. MTS-able, giftable NX. Downside? Longer wait. Big deal. Fourthly : Paypal does NOT have accounts banned for no reason. I've been using Paypal for ~2 years and have experience not one lapse in service. If you've been blocked, that is an error on your behalf. In conclusion : You are a small percentage of Nexon's total market. For them to put out their larger percentage players for the minority is not only bad business, it's bad management.
The second and third notes really need to be read. I'm not going |

Americans are so ignorant when it comes to Australia/Australians it seems, i could tell you i ride a Kangaroo to work and most of you would believe it. I respect the Americans that respect others, i have no respect for those with the high sense of superiority. Thank you for agreeing that Nexon should at least try to cater for us, i appreciate that. |

| @DarkShurk If you thought that was raging, you're horribly mistaken. I was offended by the arrogant un-caring attitude a large portion of Americans expressed when talking about this issue. Imagine if the roles were reversed, i'm sure a lot of Americans would be angry/upset, yet Australians have "Dealt with it" for years, and it's finally starting to annoy us. @Above Americans are being disrespectful to Australians all over the place, i'm entitled to voice my opinion, and so help me god i will. Do something productive and send a ticket? HELLO, that's the issue we are contemplating here, Nexon's inability to care for other countries. And trolling? Love look up the definition of an internet Troll because it's definition is not me. |

| Dont't bother, Soxah, you're not beating a strawman any day of the week. Theoretical situations won't get good responses either, because from what I've seen from this thread, they don't know what it's like to play without the luxuries of NX and convenient times, and I'm fairly sure they don't give a rat's ass. I mean if I was in their shoes, I wouldn't care. |

But i feel i have to try, even if it's sure to fail. Edit: Screw it, i'm going to bed. It's nearing midnight and i am getting up at 3 so that i may enjoy some 2x exp, seeing as tho it's the only time i can get it. |

| @ Ravordyn I believe this thread started off as a "Australians would like time-applicable Exp Events". You will find it was one of you "American's" that through the first "Deal with it" - Soxah was simply replying to that rude and un-needed outburst. now in reference to what he said referring to teen depression etc. Sure.. other countries have that - I do agree there, but on the same note most of the other countries are what you would classify as a "Third World" or "Second World" Countries. America on the other hand - has 0.042802 Murder(s) per 1,000 people where as Australia is currently sitting at 0.015032 Murder(s) per 1,000 people now. if you take into account the difference in population size, as well as land size. Soxah does have a point , it is your 2nd Ammendment "The Right to bear arms" that causes you to have so much violence in your country(In my opinion) - and for us Australians to stereotype you as such. Now in reference to the Teen Depression / Suicide - I copied this from Wikipedia. "On September 6, 2007, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported suicide rate in American adolescents (especially girls, 10 to 24 years old) increased 8% (2003 to 2004), the largest jump in 15 years. Specifically, in 2004 - 4,599 suicides in Americans ages 10 to 24, up from 4,232 in 2003, for a rate of 7.32 per 100,000 people that age. Before, the rate dropped to 6.78 per 100,000 in 2003 from 9.48 per 100,000 in 1990. The findings also reported that antidepressant drugs were more likely to reduce suicide risk than increase it. Psychiatrists found that the increase is due to the decline in prescriptions of antidepressant drugs like Prozac to young people since 2003, leaving more cases of serious depression untreated. In a December 2006 study, The American Journal of Psychiatry said that a decrease in antidepressant prescriptions to minors of just a few percentage points coincided with a 14 percent increase in suicides in the United States." It would seem - that as your new president obama is having to redo your Healthcare system , it would seem applicable that the "system" doesn't cater too well to the mentally unstable and depressed teenagers/people. In australia - we already have a government controlled Healthcare system - with Bulk Billing availabilty and also a "Full-Fledged" system to tackle Teen Suicide/Depression - Based off that information i believe soxah bought that up because your government does not have such a system/help network available to the people as of yet. You yourself Stereotyped Australia when referring to it as "The Outback" - For one, it is not all desert and sand... we do have cities, rather large ones too. So i suggest you do some further research before condemning something someone says. Thanks. Now .. Sleep time for me :p as its 11:40pm. |

| I agree with the TS. :/ I myself am from the UK, and i'll only really be able to play for about 4 hours. Still though, i'm quite happy with that because it's better than nothing and more than usual. I guess it'll give me a nice break from working. Being more on-topic, i guess i can only empathise with you. Events always seem to be like this nowadays... Offtopic: Does anyone know WHY nexon are choosing to hold this event? Is it the actual day of the anniversary today, or do they just feel like having an event for the sake of it? |

| @Korambi. It's important to note that while our Healthcare system does not currently cover it. We do have relatively large government funded non-profit organizes to help with this. Free. So your line on suggesting further research really goes the same for you as well. |
Sorry, did not mean to offend with that term. I wasn't attempting to stereotype so much as just using a term often associated with Australia. At least here anyway. May not be used there so much. I suppose it would be similar to calling Africa the Sahara Desert as I just looked up the actual definition of Outback, so I can see how that was misconstrued as rude. Sorry bout that. The more you know I suppose. >.< And people here in the US still believe I ride horses to school just because I live in Texas. Apparently living in the south means you miss out on all those "gosh darn new-fangled technologies or somethin." So yeh, I don't believe you ride a kangaroo, but I'm sure you could convince some people you do. Which is rather sad. |
