Help My New Spearman

Hey guys so I just started in Bera and I made a Spearmen.So far everything is going great, but I have a few questions 1)When should I cap my base dex?It is currently at 30 and I am level 20.I have absolutely 0 fundings 2)Should I go pure spear (cheap) or hybrid on him (expensive) 3)What should my second job skill build be if I'm going to ONLY PQ. 30-35 CPQ TW. 35-45 LPQ (glasses). 45-51 EPQ (earrings). 51-70 LMPQ (money). 4)Why don't pure builds learn both fury and crusher (well I think they don't) 5)This is kind of offtopic,but what are prizes you can get from that dragon egg thing in the CS?

1) It depends on how you get your money as you level, otherwise just raise dex little by little until 60. 2) Hybrid isn't expensive, I used a cheap golden snowboard (lvl 36 normal) until level 50 when scorpio costed a bit too much (don't know how much are they now). Then Nine Dragons, until level 64, I use a cheap 100%'ed karstan until I finally reach dark knight. Once I'm 130 I will finally train with spears (although I could use my Pinaka at level 100 anyway). 3) Every spearman should start out with PA Mastery 19, PA Booster 3-9, 3 Iron Will (for HB), 30 HB, Finish PA Booster and Mastery, Max Spear Mastery and Booster, spend the last 11 points on whatever that isn't final attack (useless skill that doesn't work past 3rd Job and ruins your slash blast mobbing). 4) Pole Arm fury ensures alot faster leveling than a pure spear, pole arm crusher is just a useless skill compared to spear crusher. Hybrids get Spear Crusher, Spear Fury and Pole Arm Fury (PA Fury is raised first and used throughout 3rd and early 4th Job). Sacrifice is only worth putting 3 points on for Roar, it's a useless attack skill since Spear Crusher is better in every way, plus Crusher doesn't hurt you like Sacrifice does. Power Crash is useless because Dispell is better (bosses are the ones who buff and bishops/priests are almost always there). Dragon Blood is replaced by cheap warrior elixirs (elixirs cannot be dispelled, doesn't hurt your hp, lasts 8 minutes each, saves 20 SP). 5) Idk, I heard you win maple points though... On the Side Note : Both Crushers are Pure STAB (Good for spears bad for pole arms). Both Furies are Pure SLASH (Good for pole arms bad for spears). DK Training spots favor Fury over crusher (fury hits 6 with a 150% faster pace than crusher, which hits 3) such as MP3, Windraiders, Wolf Spiders, Galloperas, and Himes. Hybrids get Spear Fury's use during 4th Job, when crusher nearly kills a monster(s), use a quick fury to finish it/them off (without having to switch weapons).

1) I would go base dex 40 at the most, and stay at 30 if you think you can pull it off (not too hard if you do quests that give good rewards). 2) I've heard Hybrid is better and worth the cost No idea on the other questions sorry.

Ok now that I think about it I'm going to keep my dex at 30 for now until I miss like crazy then I might raise it to 40 I'm going to go hybrid and use the cheap pole arms you said above

1st: Learn more on hybrids... we dont hav to buy all the weapons. we just use them at certain times. cap ur dex at 80 if ur not funded. dont just continuously do PQ's... they lose the point in grinding. pretty soon, u will lose the interest of gaining exp the hard but fun way.

[/quote] I trained from 50-80 on wr and then 80-105 typhons on my sniper

I can help you out in bera. I'm starting again and i'm level 45 atm starting to EPQ evantually. Corsairken summed up most of those questions though.

I still keep both weapons. (100%ed Karstan and Sky Ski just incase I switch training spots) Going spear first in 3rd job isn't THAT bad... WR, Viks, Gobies, etc... all give them good training spots. o-o I took hybrid to the literal level and raised both spear crusher and PA fury at the same time. :P Not the best decision in terms of fast training but keeps me interested and on my toes and keeps my from quitting like I did for all my other lolcharacters. EDIT: Buddy me if you need a few equips. I'm broke ATM but I can give you my Soul Spear (only 90 ATT but still good. :P and possibly help you out. I can give you a few hundred K but I only have 3m left so lol. I can still help you!)

Restart Even unfunded, You dont need any dex Go pure spear, PA is like almost never useful past 120, and certainly not worth paying extra for. 2nd job skill build = 5 Spear Mastery, 5 Spear Booster, 14 Spear Mastery, 30 FA, 1 Spearmastery, 3 Iron Will, 30 HB and the rest doesnt matter And People do put spear Fury and crusher. Its just that Fury is almost useless unless you're like 3 hp away from 1 hitting monsters and you dont want to use Crusher that extra time

[/quote] Trolls belong UNDER the bridge where no one can see or hear them. Hybrid is the fastest way to train PERIOD with the same cost. We have all the benefits and none of the faults of Pures. 26 DEX isn't going to affect your damage too much and you need it.

How many threads have you seen of lvl 100 DK's going like "omg i have dex?" Theres going to be a morale problem at higher lvls if he knows hes training a flawed charecter >.> Hybrid does not cost less and does not train that much faster >.> 2 weapons =/= cost of 1 weapon. Hybrid has many faults. If you put in PA fury then your Spear Fury or Sacrifice or elemental resistance wont be maxed = = I see DKs using spear fury at Skeles all the time but never PA fury Dont spout BS then accuse others of trolling

If it doesn't affect his damage and increases his accuracy how is it flawed? Uh... you use PA up until 120 and then Spear the rest of the way. o-o (Unless you WANT two weapons which is not NEEDED and UNNECESSARY) Uh... we don't max Dragon Blood or lose a point or two in Spear Fury. o-o Oh yeah... 2% is REALLY going to kill me. >.> Mind your own words.
