OK I started maple not so long ago but something is bothering me about the prices. In the free market, in most shops people would put prices like 5.999.999 instead of 6.000.000. Now when I look at the tax fee I can't understand why they would put these prices ... 100k+ = 0.4% 1M+ = 0.9% 5M+ = 1.5% 10M+ = 2% and so on ... I can understand setting a price of 4.999.999 to not cross the 5M+ tax but won't every prices between 5M and 9.999.999 get the same 1.5% tax ? I don't play other versions than EMS so sorry if it's not the same in the other regions.

Cause when you put 5,999,999 instead for 6,000,000 it's more chance of people buying, because they see the number "5". It's something about you sense, working for me O_O

It's everywhere in the world too. You see item on sale for $999 instead of $1000. The point is that it makes it look less expensive. If the items was $999 you could say I got it for under a thousand which makes it sound cheap. Let's say today you don't want to spend over 6 mil today but you see an item you want for 5.999999 mil, you still buy that item and you won't feel guilty since you stayed under your budget.

It's like nHack wrote, it's the same in real-life shops, why do they put the prices to 9.99 or 9.95 instead of 10? Because people thinks they save more than they actually do. EDIT: Ops, you had already got your answer, sry
