Nexon, what hath thou wrought? I remember way back, around three years ago, when my friend first introduced me to maplestory. I was at summer camp at the time, and he told me about this game where "Its kind of like mario, because its 2d, and there are these channels, and you can do cool stuff." I checked it out and got sucked in. The game was fun, a little quirky, but fun. I remember buying my first NX Card, and buying a pet and an outfit for halloween. It was fun, then, going in, and exploring the mansion for a week before everyone else. And it cost me around a dollar, but I didn't think much of it, because it was a fun place to be. I remember leaving and coming back to a new game. I actually logged back in to find LPQ empty, and I was shocked and amazed. Then I found LMPQ. I remember getting my first ZHelm. I remember getting to level 70. I remember the time I spent with my friends in this game. I remember the birth of 2x cards, and of leach. I remember when Nexon started to sell out. And that is when the game died. Month after month, patch after patch, more and more content was being carefully parceled out in little packages. More and more of it was nexon cash related. I didn't notice, the game was still interesting. Until they kept on releasing less and less. And less.... And less.... Disguising it, warping it to the point without recognition. Pirates were win. Cygnus Knights were somewhat win. Aran's were one of the best executed launches. And then Nexon lost it. Whomever was behind these win patches must have left, and new people must have come in. These new people must have forgoten that MapleStory had a player base that wanted to have fun, and instead began to treat each player as one thing only. A wallet to take cash from. Thats how I feel now, nexon. I feel like a wallet. I feel like thats all you want to treat me as, as a statistic of cash and value. I know no-one will care if I leave, as there are twenty others to take my place, fists filled with money. This fifth anniversary events have depressed me to no end, but, it is an expected cycle. Less and less 2x, less and less thought, care, and talent put into patches. More ways to make money. I'm peeved that your posting advertisements for other companies on the front page. I'm peeved that the content in patches is not tested thoroughly. I'm peeved that you have forgot that we are players, not walets. There's not much I can do at this point except go off and come back later, hoping for changes. But, Nexon, dying as you are, there are things you can do to save yourself from this downward spiral. 1. Reinstitute Tespia. Trust me on this one. Recruit only the finest. Hold entrance tests. Get the best of the best critical thinkers and testers. Find the people who are willing to put in the effort. Tespia failed last time because you recruited only based on level, not based on knowledge. Level does not confer knowledge, especially in this day and age. 2. I hate when people comment on how Nexon doesn't ruin the game when they haven't played long enough to actually see the bugs that were here in the past and now. Mortal blow bug made 3rd job archers useless, witch belts, Ht pendants, exp bug, and alot more.

dude, you just made me remember when there weren't hackers to steal my 800m back then, nobody d/ced you just because they were caught into this game to make money. the best time i EVER had was doing LPQ, slowly leveling made more friends, it only let the patient people into the game. Not the stuck up snobs who only play to level, sell their accounts and make money. THIS ISN'T THE BLACK MARKET. And i also remember when i could find a fm spot other than room 20, i could get in into 1 every day.
