Significant damage drop when mobbing?

I noticed when I mob I do significantly less damage. Up to a 40% less damage compared to hitting 1 monster. Anybody know exactly why Arans do less damage when they mob?

I think the damage is split depending on the amount of monsters you are attacking.

I don't usually notice, I keep my combo at 100 and I do perfectly fine? Like don't get me wrong I can do 13k crit damage from a slash...and then hit a monster mob and maybe pull 9k dmg out from full swing but that's alright...we are still the best mobbing class in the game.

GAWD PEOPLE REALISED THIS ABOUT 3MONTHS AGO@@@....lols-attack, doubleswing & triswing lower ur dmg when attacking mobs-they do not split. At least this doesnt affect peril/smash etc. Not sure about Final charge/blow etc though.

Yes, it lowers your damage. But the total damage is higher then on one monster, and you are getting combos faster.

If it didn't, then we would way too overpowered in training. Our low hp will mean nothing when we kill at such a speed.

@sookiemonsta I think you're wrong. When we hit mobs, our damage is divided equally, but does not total 100% of the dmg on 1 monster. I'm pretty sure hitting a mob of any number will do over 100% of the single target dmg.
