Ok So recently the new maps for mw2 came out, I got it the day it came out. Well Anyway a few mins ago i was playing Regular team Deathmatch and i noticed i was playing on the new maps, I search on some forums and it is said IW Put the new maps in the regular playlists. Well my question is, Do you still need to buy the map pack to play the new maps in the regular playlists? Explanation: If one guy in the lobby doesnt have the new map pack does that mean they cannot play the new maps? Thanks if you understand my question! Peace!

@Mine, Yea, But the new maps are now injected into the regular playlists like Team Deathmatch, Domination, etc. So are you saying if one guy doesnt have the new map pack in the lobby then all of the people in the lobby will only play the regular maps?

If 1 person in the lobby doesn't have it, they are kicked out of the game. But, $15 for 3 new maps is ridiculous.

[/quote] I agree TS: If one guy doesn't have it he isn't able to join that game. They sort of have separate servers set aside for REGULAR MAPS, PEOPLE WITH MAP PACKS So they can play regular maps plus the ones they downloaded. |

Aha, I wondered about this too, but recently I found out how it works. Even if you do not have the maps you can still do any of the playlists excluding the map exclusive playlists. But if one of the maps show up in the pre game lobby you will get kicked from the lobby if it does not get veteoed. Scenario: I'm playing and then the game ends and the map turns out to be Crash. I can stay in the lobby until the game is about to start, but will be kicked if it does not get vetoed. If it does get veteoed you can stay in the lobby. Hopefully I answered your question correctly. @above They are allowed to join the lobby, it's just that they will be kicked if the map ain't voted. And actually I think I paid $15 for 5 new maps? I dunno. o_o

No matter what you do, you need the map pack to play any of them. All the time. It pairs you up with other map-pack owners only. -CallOfDutyMW2 (:
