Maple leaves this year

I was grinding in mp3, which as u know has great spawn rate, and I noticed that not a single maple leaf fell. Then I went to henesys to participate in the Cake pie thing. Anyone know why maple leaves are not dropping for me? Is there any other efficient way to get the leaves? Sorry if the answer is on the site, I'm kind of bad at finding things like this when Im nervous about this sort of event. :P

if your character is really low and you do the orange mushroom portrait, you only need 20 watercolors and you still get the same amount of leaves

Anything that doesn't drop a monster card(not the game one, the book one) will not drop any event items.

yes it is. I finished an octopus portrait and got 700 maple leaves.

i think i know why, leaves and watercolors are dropped ONLY by monsters that are in the monster book not sure tho xD

Yep. If you notice pretty much for any event, monsters in nlc, world tour, and singapore don't drop event items.
