Maplestory DOES not reward perseverance

Okay guys, so, I've been in Kerning City Subway for collectively 8 Hours (4 before maint and 4 after) trying to get a Maple shield. JUST ONE, I'm so broke right now, I need it. I have probably killed 10,000+ bubblings, and guess what? I haven't gotten a single Maple shield. At this point I think I'm just wasting my time. Is there some sort of trick to getting one? Is there another monster with a better possibility? Please help me Basil, I'm beginning to lose hope :/

I try not to think about it, but in reality, it's the only reason I'm there. I'm just afraid I'm gonna spend a whole month down there and only level like 4 times and not get a single Shield x.x

try collecting bubbling monster cards? Focus on collecting them, not maple shields.

Um...I've already maxed out the cards.... Ohh, and I heard about Map kill counts several years ago when I used to play. Any validity to that? I currently have 2,000 bubblings bubbles and I'm afraind to go NPC them.

You need to be patient, I mean patient . This event has only been going on for... 1 day? My advice is instead of just focusing on looking for a Maple Shield, maybe you can try something else, like train a low leveled character at Bubblings. Take this for example, I was once looking for chaos scrolls at cold eyes, but then eventually I nearly gave up hope. But then I considered making a level 50 dagger out of the monster drops. But then you can guess what happened next... [EDIT]: Try hunting other monsters that drop maple shields and max their cards out. :D

ive been at bubbling since the patch was done. i got still nothing... all the time on 4x drop

Im pretty sure it wasnt confirmed that the maple items will drop from the same monsters as last anniversary. You might just be wasting your time.

You're complaining about not getting a MS Shield after only 4* hours of hunting. How is THAT preserverence? A lot of players grind longer than that regularly. xD Edit: Thought he said 4, but still. xD

They do drop from Bubblings, I've seen people get quite a few from there.

I think you mean "Maplestory does NOT reward perseverance". You capitalized the wrong word. Really, it's not that difficult.
