Do you guys ever put so much time achieving one goal, but nexon drops something new? for example: spending a month trying to scroll/make/save for a godly end game weapon, now nexon drops durability weaps. and all these new classes, makes you wanna quit ur current character to keep up wit the race to 200 wit a new job. if i got 20 att gloves, somehow id feel like 20 isnt enough to be good ne more, nexon might drop new content that makes 20 att gloves a joke. discuss, and happy mapling

Most of what they do is just "glitz and glamor" to appeal to ADD players who have to do every little thing. And most of it isn't worth bothering with. Mostly I just play my own game and ignore the glitz.

It's been like this since 3 years. It's somewhat our fault that the game became so competitive. My 195 hp unh shield is going down the drain after the patch.

durability weps.... don't bother, their going to be EXTREMELY rare, and EXTREMELY expensive, to the point finding one will be like finding a PSB. if you're referring to new jobs, Aran is fun, but fairly balanced, no need to rush over to make one if you like your current job. Evan is fairly fun, but significantly weaker leveler 120+ because of no ultimate spam (ever), so no need to rush there, when you have genesis... and even when DB comes out, your bishop will still level faster, no doubt. although i agree wholeheartedly about goal oriented gameplay... it took me a 6 months for my MM to hit 120, and back when i did it, people thought i hacked because it was so fast... now, 6 months is ridiculously slow, and my MM is a noob...

No other class or addition has been able to distract me yet! (hyperfocus... also a part of ADD ;)) But yeah, altogether I do think Nexon's speeding it up a bit too much. I hope the Dual Blader won't come too soon- not because I have a Shadower, but because the game is being updated too quickly. EDIT: Wait, I think I misunderstood the abbreviaton ADD here. |

Funny thing, about ADD style on my classes, I'm more ADD about going to OTHER "original" classes than the new ones XD. I made an evan to lv 50 for glasses scroll, made an aran to be a warrior, got to lv 151 and quit it. Now I'm trying to play my shadower and bucc x3. The adventurer classes interest me more than anything else so far...XD

OMG I THINK THE SAME WAY! I thought I was the only one in the world who thinks Nexon is adding too many new things at the same time. Especially jobs.

I feel they let things cool down and then they get on a new role with ideas and we can't rest if we want to have atleast DECENT damage for our level like all of these rings are easy to get but it's time consuming and they don't give us enough time...

Personally, I think that its more than the fact that they are throwing too many events at us too quickly, but also the fact that they are throwing short events that require a hell of a lot of dedication. For example, getting a level 80 (or was it 100?) Evan in only 1 month was excessive. Only a few people could possibly obtain that (However... Lilin's ring event has lasted a little too long). And of course we have several events that require thousands of drops. Evan Sweat Drops where 5500 to complete the quest and Artifat events need you to obtain tens or hundreds of thousands of drops to have a chance... within a week. Then we have that rainbow event... where you had to be online every day of the week. Still, it probably is a good idea to have several events going, even if its impossible to do them all. There should always be a good variety. I just wish they'd make the quests more possible for the more casual players to complete at least one event quest within a month.

I apologize for the use of the term- I was going to say "MTV generation", but I figured few here would understand what that meant. That's actually very interesting about "hyperfocus".. I've never heard that term before and I've been wondering what the opposite of attention deficit would be, because I easily get lost for hours in things to the exclusion of anything else. Like eating and taking insulin for two... (Incidentally, I tracked down ENIAC, and I'm trying to get time to drive over the the Computer Science building on the North Campus of U of M. It's in their atrium (at least a large panel).) |
