| Does frosprety hit aoe front and back? Whats the interval for attacks? How may monsters does it freeze? Anyone go 15 eagle? Do you regret? Is it bad/good in the end? |

| It hits AOE but mostly in the front (well, it hits the closest mob to you, which may be behind you). I've never really seen it hit front and back (but this is because I am not usually sandwhiched by mobs). Check out a Youtube training vid. Um, five or so seconds? Never really counted, you can Youtube a marksman vid and see for yourself. Four max. 1 second freeze until level 11, which then becomes 2 seconds, and 3 seconds at lvl 21. Never freezes more than four. I went 20 eagle. Should've gone less. 15 should be fine, I only used Eagle (after getting Frostprey) at Temple of Time Ice Zone for the 999 quests. It does NOT replace ice shot. Ice shot is still your main mob-control skill. Frostprey is great as a backup but is your not your primary submission skill. |

You use bliz and frostprey in different situation, frostprey would never make me take off bliz on my hotkeys. Frostprey might attract un-wanted mobs, in places you have a rotation for like time temple. Also, I know some marksman that choose to not train with frostprey, since bliz is a lot safer, freezes mobs of 6 and is completely in your control. Frostprey attacks after the last attack finishes freezing, so around 1-2 seconds? I forget how long level 1 frostprey freezes for. It can hit back and front, only if both monsters are in range, but generally hits either back or front at a time, and hits 4 monsters. I went 21 eagle, because I newted for quite a bit. I wouldn't change my build if I went back, since I have no idea where the other 6 sp would go into. I already have excessive speed with level 9 thrust, along with 20 mortal blow. |

| Frostprey can be a good and a bad thing, for the same reasons. It attack the monster closest to you, regardless of which direction you're facing. On one hand that means it'll stop monsters sneaking up behind you. On the other hand, it might aggro monsters you're moving away from. Of course, this also allows tactics such as letting FP freeze a few monsters behind you that you'd rather not deal with just yet, while you use blizzard and pierce to take down a larger mob in front. FP never replaces Blizzard, just complements it. I went 15 Eagle, and never had a chance to regret it. But I only did 4 levels of Newties in 3rd job. |

| Yeah, had I gone with 15 Eagle, that would've saved me 5 SP points. I have 10 thrust, I am at 138 or 139 Speed, so putting extra points in Thrust would have had no benefit. Already maxed Mortal Blow, Puppet, AE and Strafe. So what, 5 more points into Blizzard (leaving it at lvl 26?). Useless (unless you're a damage whore). So that's probably why I ended up with 20 Eagle |

| I find it that it's a marksman's job to manipulate their skills so that frostprey can attack the mobs they want to instead of unwanted mobs. I use puppet to lure away unwanted mobs or I just bliz them. I can tell how long both will freeze for w/o having to count. |

| I just went 15 eagle then frostprey no regrets. It will not replace ice shot, it'll help but it won't be fast enough |

| Adding on to what other people said, I believe Frostprey only hits three enemies whereas Blizzard hits 6. Correct me if I'm incorrect. |

[/quote] Freezes up to four monsters, but otherwise the way you are thinking is correct, when you have something like Pierce that hits 6 monsters you will need to use Blizzard to freeze the mob or you will have two rogue monsters on you. |

You'll have to have crazy gear at 150, or at least 170 to forget bliz without getting hit. Frostprey screws me up so many times at obliv, due to the huge mobs :/ |
