What caused all of this deflation?

I left Maple around the time the Pyramid PQ came out. These are some price changes that I've noticed, in Item-Before-Now prices: Steelys :: 4.5m-6m :: 3m Ilbi :: 10m-12m :: 7.5m GFA :: 7.5m-9m :: 5m Chaos 60% :: 90m-105m :: 45m Was there any event that caused this to happen? And, how long has it been since Pyramid PQ was released? I know I missed the Evan release, but was there any other big changes? I missed something about MS being booted from the website now, but can't you still play from the .exe?

PyPQ has been released for a while. Deflation has been caused mainly due to the Perfect Pitch Exploit, as well as the release of Evans. And yes, you can still play maple from the .exe. Just go into your maple folder, and click the Game Launcher, then choose the "start game" option.

The Chaos Scroll mass deflation was caused by some guy revealing a packet hack that could get you several hundred Golden Pig Eggs at once, which meant an explosion in the number of Chaos Scrolls. And, with more supply comes less demand, and therefore price deflation.

The two main causes are probably the lack of players (which wont be the case when people start getting out of school), and some duplication hacks and other glitches that went around. But the deflation will probably be gone after the first few weeks of summer.

chaos deflation = perfect pitch exploit GFA deflation = the release of evans... hundreds of thousands made evans when they came out, and guess what happens when they do subani's legacy? Same thing with illbi/steely, people been training more are the places where they drop so more supply = cheaper. Oh and some people selling all their crap to fund their evans. But mainly due to the multitude of new characters.

But evans are barely affecting the economy, and the Evan craze isnt even half as bad as the Aran craze. Its the lack of people playing the game due to school.

Evan obviously, price always changes for the NEw Jobs...Just like when DB comes out everything DEX and ATT related will double in price as the Made items go back down.

( sometimes you got more then pitch ) Also, the guy that said they got th chaos scrolls from the Egg are wrong, what they did was had to get however many Pitches you needed Buying it then send the packet with a specific HEX number changed and it would give you thousands of them. There was also the Pig Packet Edit Code that gave you around 9000 Eggs and you just open them till you get stuff.

The Perfect Pitch event was where player had to level to get an item that could be traded in various numbers for items/potion/Golden Pig Eggs.

No, prefect pitch ended ages ago. However, hackers might be able to find an exploit in the next event, the maple anniversary thing. Rewards are similar to perfect pitch.
