Steam + MapleStory?

Is it possible to use Steam with MapleStory (so I can get the neat overlay to chat with non-Maplers if I play full screen)? I know that I couldn't do it before, but idk if they've changed it around or something.

Man, that would be great. However, as far as I know, it's not possible since I believe you can only do that steam overlay with things downloaded directly from the Steam client itself. I don't think Maplestory is on there, which sucks.

From what I know as long as you shortcut it with Steam, it gives you the overlay. The issue before was GameGuard, not sure if the issue is still ongoing. Plus I can't seem to boot MapleStory without having to go through the site (I know there's a way).

yeah gameguard detects the overlay as an "unidentified program" but why would people want to see you playing maple on steam :/

It also has a built-in chat thing. @Vincinity: Yeah, not many of my Steam friends would like knowing that I play MS, but it's always nice so I can look at game invites and stuff.

How do you shortcut something through steam then? I'm kind of new to Steam, so bare with me.

Select it and find the .exe for your game. Also, tried the GameLauncher, the game itself launched, but the overlay is not there, unfortunately.

I launched it through Steam, but it doesn't seem to be doing the overlay.
