This thread is not meant to be confrontational towards Muslims, only to extremists pertaining to that faith. I hold nothing against Muslims, and they are by no means insane. In fact, one of my friends who I hold in very high regard is a Muslim, and although I strongly disagree with his beliefs, he is very intelligent and I frequently debate with him. When I told him of Comedy Central's censoring of the South Park episode depicting Muhammad, he, like many other like-minded Muslims, were absolutely disgusted with those extremists' reactions. There have been dozens of caricatures drawn of politicans and other figures, and more often than not, portrayed them in an unflattering manner. However, supporters of these figures, despite being potentially offended, would not even consider acting out in violence towards the cartoonist. If anything, laws stating that depictions of Muhammad are forbidden should only apply to those who pertain to the religion, not to anyone else. It's about time someone stands up and says "Enough!", it's about time someone grows a pair and refuses to censor programs that discusses the many injustices that have been committed in the name of Allah (R.I.P. Theo Van Gogh), and it's about time someone refrains from hiding in a corner, and sends a message to those psychopathic extremists telling them that their cowardly tactics do not work. On May 20th, as unoffically announced by cartoonist Molly Norris (albeit rapidly going viral), is " Everybody Draw Muhammad Day ". On this day, we will stand up for all those who were killed or injured by injustices justified by Islam's Sharia Law, and we will tell those extremists, "Forget Allah, free speech akbar!"

So you guys are saying that Islamic extremist are the reason for this? How do u know Islam is such a bad religion. How do you know that media is telling the truth. have you gone ur self to Iraq, Afghanistan and seen how war is? Why are U.S in the middle east in the first place? Was 9/11 really an terrorist attack or a inside government plan for long term effect and get a pass key to middle east.

I don't exactly know where this thread could go in a positive light either. do you?

[/quote] Holy crap dude, the scope of this thread is just the death threats that the creators of south park recieved from muslim extremists. Nothing else.

It's your fault for making a muslim angry about it, it's not my fault for not liking your joke, because it's very offensive for my religion and prophet... and IF you don't care about your own religion or prophet (in case you are not an atheist) that does't mean other religions does't care about their own religion and prophet.

By the way, I was initially supposed to be issued overseas, however, I was injured about a month or so before my shift, so I wouldn't know. I've given up my army exploits. My brother on the other hand has served overseas, and was injured by shrapnel caused by an extremist who blew himself up, which would explain my partial hostility and bias towards Islam.
