Buddhism is a flexible religion. It doesn't really tell you what you can or cannot do, so go for it.

I thought Buddhism wasn't a religion? Even if it was, there's really no reason you shouldn't be able to accept whatever you want to.

If I ever see a white guy in a temple I would definately take another glance; yes it's weird since you don't see many white people that believes in Buddha. It's not wrong though.
