Should I "dump" double shot?

Heya there basil! I just made a Wind Archer and was browsing through the guides and saw that Wind Archers wind up having incomplete Storm or focus, I know neither of these skills are really that useful later on in the game but. Should I max both Focus and Storm and leave double shot at a low level, thus making it "hard" to get to lvl 30 (since it isn't hard at all anyways). I'm basing this on the conception that the small boosts given by focus are passive so they'll last forever and even though Storm is not that great, it may be able to add some extra damage to a monster which may actually turn almost 1hkos into real 1hkos. Double Shot will be useless once I hit 2nd job so i'll never see it again. To sum it up, I could say that my real question is "Is double shot useful after lvl 30 or is it needed to get another skill?"

You will still use Double Shot until level 70, why would you want to gimp yourself like that?

Focus isn't passive. It's an Active buff. Storm is dead useless, you'll barely use it first job. Just max Double Shot anyways, you still have to use it the first few (around 10-15ish) levels of second job as you have to get a decent Mastery and Wind Breath.

All I can say is that you will probably be using Double Shot until level 70 . So, choose what you want, but I'd say max double shot. Might I ask where you plan on training after Lvl 30?

Was it something I said? DON'T LEAVE ME, WE CAN FIX THIS. D': In all seriousness, storm: you will never ever use it, and focus is active, i think. You'll use double shot till 3rd job, so don't screw yerself over.

Storms only good when your 1st job and even then it fails. All it does it give you mobbing and helps you if you're caught in a mob. Adding points into it is really foolhardy; at my level it only hits like in the upper 200s. More or less, it gets you into more trouble than not. It makes enemies aggressive, gives them time to buff or use unavoidable attacks (NOT COOL) and just in general make life hard. Your statement "double shot is useless 2nd job" is very false. Double Shot is STILL your main one-on-one move and against bosses. Tell you what; it tears through the first eight rounds of Mulung Dojo in a hurry. You'll use Storm Break for crowds and Double Shot for singles. Also, keep in mind Double Shot has the potential to do 260% damage per arrow (130% base power, add 30% if in Wind Walk and 100% if you critical). Storm Break under Wind Walk is only 190% damage on normal hits and 290% damage on criticals. 260% x 2 > 290%.
