So I decided to make a theif, I only had 2m funds but I was determined. I start training with some Icys I bought when my *so called* friend says "hey you made an assassin?" I'm like "yea" Hes like "Is it dexless?" "No" "Fine go play your fail sin" So now im wondering, does a sin suck when played reg dex? (either way im still playing it reg dex but im curious)

Reg dex is terrible in the early levels. Dexless is far superior and much cheaper. And depending on your funding you can remain dexless well into level 120s. If you are pretty much completely unfunded, low dex is probably better to convert to around level 70s. Reg dex is seriously just bad. The only time they will be any better than any other build is if a sin is stupid and remains dexless 150+

Uh, I am regular dex. I am funded though. I hit 2k at level 40 with my Avarice. I out damaged most dexless NIGHTWALKERS from 45-50...(all at cpq1) Now I hit 4k at 70. I don't think Regular Dex sucks in anyway. Low dex is better, but when it comes down to funding, the person with the most money wins...

Its all about funding. Although with the same amount of funding, a dexless is better all the way till level 130.

They're fine, but going dexless and converting later generally gives you more damage for your money.

There alright. Just don't pay attention to people who dislike Reg. Dex. Ex. "Fail Damage, you should just make a dexless sin." =.="

First of all dont listen to this person. Yes reg dex sins are rather weak but they start to balance out when they hit 70+ due to the higher att you can get from higher lvl claws. Yes dexless is far more superior then low/reg dex in the early lvls and in no way is it the cheapest way to go. Dexless claws are expensive compared to the reg dex claws. Not to mention a good luk robe will be quite costly for that dexless sin. Do not go low dex unless you have the funding to go top/bottom instead of wearing an overall. And finally.... Reg dex sins are not stronger than dexless NL. I know plenty of 150 NL that out damage most if not all NL who have 110+ dex. The reasoning behind this is that dexless NL dont have to worry about dex equips so they can wear all equips with luk and w att without having to worry about having enough dex to wear their desired claw.

The only way a dexless at 150+ is going to be better than a low dex or reg dex is if they are a dexless lamp user because they are already receiving the weapon attack to equal their selves in weapon attack to a reg or low dex. And the part about going dexless early on with no funding? You find me an unfunded dexless and reg dex and tell me who's stronger. You will be amazed how much stronger a dexless will be even with a 100% claw and no luk robe. Especially with the anniversary coming up, dexless claws are going to go down in price. The lower levels up till level 70 just has their ratio of w.att to luk that's pouring all of a sins AP into luk will be better than 3-5 more attack you get till 70+ and even higher if you know how to fund yourself. Also, if you are wondering, I never said I hate reg dex or have any problem with them, they are just far more weaker early on then a dexless one even if they are both unfunded.

LOL! This kid makes me laugh^^^^^^! I love how pro your NL is... O wait you dont have one. I know exactly what I am talking about. I have a friend that is a dexless 182 NL and she hits 40k's with ease. Go take a look at my damage range while I was a hermit. Feel free to compare it to the other damage ranges. And once your damage range is higher than mine then you can tell me I have no idea what im talking about. I always love nubs like you that think they know what they are talking about. GG kiddo.
Lurkerkiller : If you are pretty much completely unfunded, low dex is probably better to convert to around level 70s.
TBH, i find it very much impossible to go lowDEX while being "completely unfunded". o.o and i don't get why some people attempt to do so, as it very well set yourself to screw up your build later on. they are basically the only build that requires funds to make, as they need to spend it on their DEX equips. as such, it would be much more benefiting just to stay DEXless.
zjyak : Yes dexless is far more superior then low/reg dex in the early lvls and in no way is it the cheapest way to go.
i disagree with they're in "no way the cheapest way to go" part. yes, i agree with they are very expensive to maintain in the upper levels, but since we are talking about the earlier levels, they generally give the best damage per price, as such, they can spend less while doing the same amount of damage as a regDEX. so yeah, they are the cheapest build to start out, in which i believe lurker was trying to say in that part of his post. as for your comment on looking at your range. higher range =/= a person's knowledge on a class. or you could say the most funded person doesn't make them knowledgeable. it just mean they are very good at making money (i personally know people who rarely play on their character and preferred merchanting). so there wasn't any reason for you mentioned your range, as it doesn't necessary tell us how much you really know. hell, you could have leech to your level (not saying you did. just making a point). about him not having a NL, well, i know some NLs that doesn't know much about their class either. i remember this one NL around your level didn't know mastery affect your damage range... xD

So your telling me I have no knowledge about my class? Everything I have said has been right for most part in your eyes. You are just taking a fine tooth comb and trying to find something wrong with what I am posting. For example a dexless sin is not cheap due to the fact that a 100% maple claw is 10mil and one that is well scrolled can go for 100mil+. Last time I checked luk robes were not getting any cheaper. Even a 15luk robe will cost you 120mil( broa price). If you want a 20+ robe you will be looking at 250mil+. Then when you get to the higher lvl dexless claws they can range anywhere from 200mil-2bil. I think you should be the one doing a bit more training and learning more about NL.

After reading the Flame-war Between the NL and the hermit who thinks he knows everything... I might make a dexless unfunded sin xD. To see how screwed up they can actually be. :D

no, no. you missed my point. i'm NOT at all saying that you have no knowledge of your class. I was commenting that part on how you said this (though, i somewhat misread the last part of the sentence) : "And once your damage range is higher than mine then you can tell me I have no idea what im talking about." what you made it sound like is that just because you have a higher range, it would mean you are very knowledgeable and can't be wrong when a person with the lower range disagree with something. IMHO, that whole comment was completely unnecessary. if you want to show what you are talking about, explain it calmly while not having to resort to flames and being rather condescending. in short, you made it seem like Range = Knowledge, and i'm just making sure you know that isn't true. plus, TBH, we don't really care about your range, but rather what you know. so I don't really get what's the point in bringing it up. the person who you are talking to started out unfunded and got to his level without any problems it seems. i don't play anymore but i made 2 DEXless adventurer and a NW (one of which got to 11x). no problems whatsoever. i know of a DEXless NL, who also started out unfunded and got to level 15x, and a few others who did the start out as DEXless unfunded as well and convert to lowDEX later route (in which is basically the best route to go with). a scanian who don't go here anymore made it to level 14x started out as one as well. LUK equips are luxuries and should be treated as such. you aren't require to have them, as you already have more LUK than the other builds. a regDEX on the other hand will need to focus on spending more money on LUK/W.ATT to make up the difference. money that a DEXless could used on other equips to raise their damage even higher. as for the maple claw being 100m...quite honestly, i would not spend that much money on something at that low of a level, in which i'm going to get rid of anyways soon. anyways, i didn't have that much of a trouble getting a 100% maple claw or even find a below average one and scroll my own, but i guess this is a bad time to by it as it's been nearly over a year since the last Maple Anniversary. edit: btw, i still do know quite a bit about our class, despite the fact that my memory on it is fuzzy due to the fact that i haven't played anymore for a long time. i've done a lot of calculations in the past on my hermits, as well as study the NL skills in detail and determining the best NL build base on my own training preference (had been review by other NLs and approved for the most part - minor disagreement that didn't bother me). so don't really need to tell me to learn about the class i used to play on. anyways, seeing so many comments with people recommending DEXless as the cheapest route still should still mean there wasn't any significant change from the last time I played. edit2: maybe basic calculations will show you what I mean. Start out with 4/4/4/13. From level 1-43, correct me if

As I can tell you honestly are not reading what I am posting. From the looks of your post you are just trying to make me look bad when you know I am right. Quite honestly I dont know a dexless NL that doesnt wear/ want a good luk robe. Extra luk is always useful and equips with w att are even better for dexless NL. My point with my damage range was to point out that I know how to build a NL and know how to play it. I also see you put all your studying of the NL has not been put into use. Besides anyone can click on forums and know what build to take as a NL... but your the pro when it comes to thieves. I think I might transfer worlds so I can get your expert advice on my character.
Instead of acting all offended, use your experience and prove the example wrong. It's true that anyone can look up builds and calcs on a forum, but it doesn't take much wisdom to simply pour a lot of funds onto a character and outdamage others as well. xD TEST: Mastery of Experience and Calculation! I'm sure a strong, wise NL like you knows how to beat a Lvl 70 Dexless running around with a 100%'ed Skanda and Icicles as an equally-funded Low Dex? xD If you cannot, then it truly proves that a Dexless is still more cost-efficient, even on the lowest of funds. xD
