Why don't people do Astaroth pq?

It seems as if not many peopledo Astaroth pq... is there any specific reason? :O

its not very good... astaroth stuns you with almost every hit, and has a skill that halves the effectiveness of your pots. seeing as how your pots heal half, and you have to spam them through the stuns, you waste a lot of pots. its not worth the hassle to me, but if you like it then go for it.

[/quote] but warriors and brawlers could kill it with out using as many pots with their high hp

Astaroth PQ is really not worth it. For example, gas mask is a completely useless helm, plus the reward isnt rewarding, due to the fact that you have work your butt off.

Floetry nailed it, my party of Spearman 30 Aran 29 (me) F/P mage 31 Thief 28 (stars) Thief (dagger) 27 and a Bowmen 28 Barely could even got him to half, then we wasted all our pots.

[/quote] That's kinda sad IMO. Maybe you just didn't know how to fight him properly. The range classes should stay back far enough so that their attacks can still hit Astaroth, and still be able to run away in time to avoid the attack that curses you (or is it zombify? w/e). For the close ranged classes, since you're getting constantly damaged all the time, hugging Astaroth won't make too much of a difference in your pot consumption. If you hug him constantly, you can avoid all his magic attacks (maybe not all, but I do it and I've never been hit with any of them yet). You don't even have to do it all the time. Just watch for the attack animations of the attacks that you do want to avoid and start hugging. This is especially useful for that one attack that knocks you back about half the map length. Hug him, and you'll never get knocked back.

Uh, I don't see why, and all the people talking about the stun and pot reduction heres a tip. Tank him when he charges the skill, looks like a reaper, 250ish HP damage aint gonna kill you, this gives you invincibility from it. And he summons totems which CAN stun, but is easily killed.

you can change your helm right when you reach the stone arch after the stinky spots. and i soloed astaroth with my low dex sin at level 35-ish with average equips and a dark guardian. its not too hard, just if you use ammo, use the best you can (for sins, ilbis. if accessible, diamond arrows for archers. mighty bullets for slingers). also, fighting him is way easier with a melee class. because you are always recieving touch damage, you wont be knocked back about 95% of the time from his kb attack, plus you will not get zombified that often. imo, as long as you bring about 50 pots that heal about 70-90% of your hp at a time and around 20-30 mp potions, beating him is no problem. best if you are level 35 + though

I understand... I fought against astaroth myself like I had to solo, because one was my mule and the other couldn't hit it... AND I WAS A CLERIC LVL 33... FML... But I want to redo it because I`m a strless bowman now! Only if I can find a team....

Since evans came out just look for a lukless pro evan lvl30 and up and u have a good chance of winning. I could solo him myself on mine.

1. Drop rate of weapons is extremely low. 2. You might not even get a weapon due to fast looters! 3. Too much effort for only three PQs in a day.
