I haven't been on Maplestory since '08. What'd I miss?

Heh, hey everyone. I just got back into maplestory, and.. jeez. It's changed a lot. I'm pretty confused about stuff but I'm getting along decently. Sadly all my friends are gone, and I'm not in a guild, so I'm on my own. But that's all right. So.. whaddya' think were the major things that happened in the past two years? I'll start reading to update myself, but I'm sure what other players have to say is more interesting. :3

Basically mostly everyone is a jerk now. I miss the old days where everyone was nice and friendly. Now there's ks wars, dc hacking, and a lot of obnoxious people.

New jobs, some awsomely new training spots, newish party quests. On the down side, the community has gotten worse, more effective and annoying hacks and a few glitches that messed up the economy... Welcome back btw XP

O: what a coinkydink! I left in '08 too, and came back like 3 weeks ago |D; dude, all the new stuff totally confused me ): especially the new classes. I still don't even know which title goes to which class. a lot of the old training spots are totally deserted because there's better newer ones (although I'm still unsure what some of them are!)

Then again, if anyone dies when they're a Priest around, there's bound to be some nasty f3'ing going on. >_> lol Meh, the community tends to be bad. Then again I may not have found my communal niche yet. Oh, jeez, messed up economy? How bad was the inflation? I got at least 30mil on my main, I hope that's enough @_@ along with other stuff on my other accs

Leveling is easy if u have money nowadays, bf leech and zap leech. Nx is now 1k:10mil. Money is easier to get by selling free wins and onyx items

apparently anything less than 1 bil is considered poor. 2 Bil is moderate and rich is 100 bil +.

There is no middle rich anymore. Most people either consider 1 bil to be chump change or consider getting a Zhelm to be a pipedream never to occur. Very few people exist in between the two extremes that I have met at least. Some new PQs are fun (personally I am obsessed with the Dojo...). Lots of new training areas so that's good. Easier to lvl too (not that I train often...) Hacks are worse but besides that I've met plenty of really really nice people as well so the community isn't all bad. There are plenty of perfectly good reasons for a priest to not be able to heal everyone perfectly. The people who yell at Priests when they die are just being idiots.

[/quote] I'm pretty sure there were way more ks wars in '08. The release of mini-dungeons has reduced the amount by alot.
