Magic Guard Mastery Book

I was gonna make an Evan but then my friends said that they need a Mastery Book to max magic guard. I've been playing Maplestory for 5 months now and the biggest rule I learned with magicians are...No Magic Gaurd=Death. I also don't have any access to NX (and plase don't say "do buy some") but I just want to know, can you buy a Magic Guard mastery book with NX Credit and even if I don't max Magic Gaurd, what level will my Magic Gaurd go up to and will it keep me alive. Evan's look pretty strong so I do wanna make one.

You can buy a mastery book with any type of nx.

You won't die without MG. I mastered Lightning first then MG. Evans have high hp for the standard mage, I never struggled with hp issues so you will be fine. The surveys are there for a reason, to obtain nx. It takes like 15mins to gain 1.k if you are smart.

At lower levels, you only "need" MG if you are doing CPQ. However at later levels (100+ and especially against bosses), yes you will have trouble not dying. And yes you can use NX Credit to buy the book, but I woudl suggest against using the Surveys. Your personal information is not worth the small amount of NX it gives.

But you will need to pot after every hit.
