arans in boss runs?

one of my friends says that arans fail in boss runs cuz they get stunned and cant keep their combos up...im training this aran cuz its fun and i want the lilin ring. but after lv 70 i dont know if i should keep training it or give up on it...i see youtube vids of arans and they seem like they can handle bosses. but i dont know...any suggestions or opinions on arans?

arans can definately handle bosses quite well . but, compared to heros/nls, they aren't exactly at par with them .

When I went to zak I had no problem with stunn/seduced. I'm not exactly sure on my DPM since i was using a 100% karstan and no atk gloves but I got like 3% from all the arms at lvl 145 in party of 6. That was my first zak though in the beginning I was all like what? and completely sucked at the first 3 arms cause i kept getting cursed and forgot to use all cure so my combo went away. But then i got it together and I think did pretty well I was able to combo temptest quite a few times. But then I d/c'ed during the 2nd body so oh well.

It mainly depends of character control, a lvl 100 aran that knows how to move and attack will greatly outdamage a lvl 150 hero who doesnt know a crap about boss rushing If both are on par in terms of skill, heroes and arans have very similar DPM for mobs lower than 3 (with hero being slightly above on neutral, and aran being above on ice weak). NLs will outdamage them on single targets, but arans will have the highest DPM on mobs of any job Paladins only outdamage arans if they hit element weak monsters, except for ice weak ones, and DrKs are not damage dealers, or at least is not their main purpose in boss rushes. They're more of a support class that can deal some nice damage and defend frailier jobs So yeah, we arans can be very useful (if not deadly strong) at bossing, so heads up and walk with pride my fellow partner :3

YAY thanks i might just train it higher :D what should i cap my dex at? its already around 60-80 :/ im not funded so i cant afford a lot of stuff.

I just saw a thread and a lv200 aran killed pap in 1 minute 34 seconds. Dont think any other class can beat that (that i know of).

[/quote] That person had a 40 atk buff, SI (for the first 30 secs) and SE. I would say echo, but seeing as thats her own skill, i cant say anything about it.

the problem is the hp if you high level like 140 ish 150 hp isnt a problem anymore and the other problem would be you cannot cwkpq which is what fundes me

[/quote] I'm saying that any class under any conditions (100 Att Onyx Apple even) they can't get under that time. More OT: Only some bosses Arans are bad it since they stun. Against Scarlion or Zak Arans will be the best attackers in the game imo.

[/quote] i very much disagree, i think maybe varsity hero could do it, in his scar targa vid he was hitting 100k + with each swing on brandish and if he had se and si as well i think he wouldn't have a problem pulling it off.

[/quote] Actually there a thread in sleepywood that has aran dpm with and without their combo. Even without SE in almost every single situation aran will out damage a hero, even if they cant keep their combo. With SE and a constant combo we can actually compare with NLs, now add SI with normal speed + weapons and we can compete with corsair. Of course our dpm is based on pure situations.
