so i wanna play msea now i downloaded fine and everything went well until it ask me for a ssn i dont even know if i have, so i decided to make one up but i tried heaps of random ones like 100 times and none of them work so any suggestions to wat i should do?

It would have ask you for an SS number or a similar resident number and since i dont have one (Australia) i just put my cars number plate and it seemed to work. But if you dont know it i suggest you make another account.

If you live in the US/were born there, you have a social security number. Just a matter of wether your parents will give it to you for a game or not is a different story, considering your SS# holds your personal identity.

If you do not know it, then ask your parents, saying that it's for personal knowledge and that you won't give it out to anyone. Giving it to Nexon isn't going to get your identity stolen, and if it does, you can sue for much moneys. Also, if you live in Us, you can not connect to MSEA because of your IP, unless you use some IP blockers or something. If you know how to do that, PM me :D

Only if you live in the US do you have a Social Security number. And since when did a game like MapleStory require such a personal piece of information in order for you to play it? Is the MSEA version THAT strict?

i knew mine since i was like 10 years old. on another note, i would NEVER give my SSN to an online game. if GMS starts asking for it i will quit, because that is probably the most important number ill ever get in my lifetime, and too much stuff can happen if someone else gets a hold of it.

Even if Maplesea is the most secure company around, you shouldnt give ur ssn. Anything can go wrong and you would essentially lose your identity over a game.
