Midpoint = (x1 + x2)/2 for the x-coordinate (y1 + y2)/2 for the y-coordinate. So (x + 4)/2 = -2 and (y + 7)/2 = 5 solvesolvesovle.

(-8,3) Midpoint formula = ((x + x)/2 , (y + y)/2) (x + x)/2 = X-Coordinate (y + y)/2 = Y-Coordinate

B (-8, 3) The equation for the midpoint is: X = (x1 + x2)/2, Y = (y1 + y2)/2 where X = The x value for the midpoint, x1 = the x value for one coordinate, x2 = the x coordinate for the other coordinate. All the Y's in the equation are the same as is with the X's, but for the Y values.
