My friend wants to buy a new gaming laptop. He currently owns a Toshiba Satellite with a decent NVIDIA GPU but it has not been handling more demanding titles. So which one should he buy? 1) Alienware M17x Intel i7 720QM, 8GB DDR3 RAM, ATI 4870 Crossfire, 1TB, BluRay 2) Asus G73 Intel i7 720QM, 8GB DDR3 RAM, ATI 5870, Dual 500GB Hard Drive, BluRay' Option 1 is close to $3000 Option 2 is close to $2000 HELP?

The G73 is not almost $2000, unless you consider $1600 "almost" $2000. IMHO, the MSI GX640 which just recently arrived to newegg is a far better buy at $1100.
