Watever happened to being different in ur build?

Seriously, it feels like all anyone cares about is dmghoaring. Wat happened to ppl making str clerics, high dex warriors, and blood pumping just cuse u felt like it? Or maybe tossing a few points into a skill ppl would now say "WTFISWRONGWITHYOU?RESTARTUR4THJOBBERNAO!" for? Feel free to talk about the weird stuff u did to ur characters! Like me. My hero has 120 base dex, blood pumped for lke 2-3 lvls, and already has 2 points in guardian and 1 point in achilles. I find it FUN watching stuff fail to hit me 1/3 of the time and having more stable dmg than most. Not to mention my whole alliance goes wtf at my defense (714 while i train normally). Scar does around 5.4k touch on me and I ENJOY IT! My page ima make into a defense page, eventually maxing iron body, shield mastery, and not maxing FA. he also has 10 int. And my evan i used to experiment with, so he has 25 str (for a fusion mace) and 6 dex (so he'd be able to use a black umbrella).

55 base DEX and 55 base STR. My caps are high, my damage low and I'm nuts about my Pure maxed Chakra what's Pickpocket again Shadower.

my dk has 90 or 100 base dex. is pure pole arm atm too but im going to be hybrid whenever i feel like spending some more money on nx

It's not like you should force everyone in having different builds. People don't care about what your build is so I don't think you should be complaining about other people's builds.

Im actually thinking of switching that SP from achilles to monster magnet. I tossed a point in achilles to begin with to check a rumor that it lets u keep some from 1/1 attacks (which is true), and after watching a lvl 200 hero at work at skeles, i think monster mag can actually increase ur training speed if used correctly. Altho since itd only be at lv 1 for a good long time and only draws 1 monster then, itd have pretty limited use for that 1 point.

I wouldn't mind experimenting on some classes that I don't intent to actually play as up to a high level, and differential skill builds are only helpful if they don't make you worse. For example, I wouldn't experiment with maxing shield mastery on my Shad, but like pavchka said, Chakra vs Pickpocket are both worthwhile in their uses so diverting from the "norm" would still have benefits. As to skill build, I'm not really following one. I have 1 in almost every skill and am now thinking about maxing taunt now that b-step is maxed, which is "incorrect" as Ive been told by some other Shads, but I dun care. I think the reason people don't experiment much anymore is because there are "proven" ways of being "the best" and who doesn't want to be the best? They don't want to feel like they've "messed up." EDIT: I also have like 1xx base dex cause I made my shad back when dex was sexy and we didn't have any of these new-fangled scrolls and equips. XD Also, I didn't know achilles worked like Meso Guard. We get to keep half our hp from 1/1 attacks. ^.~

Because efficiency is a big part of this game as well. And people don't want to work with an inefficient, or inefficient by their standards, character.

For the most part, at least, people have fun by killing things faster, gaining levels, and eventually killing bosses. It all depends on what you yourself consider fun. Personally my buccaneer will never add more than 20 base DEX, i'll always spend millions to avoid even 1 point in base DEX because I take pride in having no extra points in a junk stat. It's fun to me to have good damage and have my main skills maxed. Yes, i'm a complete dmghoar, but I have fun worrying about how to get 1 more attack even if i have to pay 500M for it. i did that.. ( meaning regular luk) and my lvl 80 priest does only 900-1k damage with shine ray ( on like lvl 40-60 monster, i didn't even bother trying higher monsters) ... ( on not holy weak monsters) so pathetic that i had to make a different character to make myself feel better oh yeah, i maxed out dispel first...
