Maker Reverse Sword - Stimulator or no stimulator?

Hi Basil. I'm planning to maker a reverse 2h sword within the next few days. I was wondering if I should throw in a stimulator or not. I'm a dexless hero and I heard they have low hands that can increase the chance of the item getting blown up. I blew up my first bottom the first and only time I used a stimulator. What should I do?

I suppose you could try to find a sin/ mage friend willing to make the item for you (int/ luk/dex= high hands right?), I mean its only untradeable after it becomes equipped, so you can give em the materials, they craft it for you, and trade it right back. Sound alright?

A different job can't make a warrior sword, apart from a warrior. Definately use a stim. The added attack, str, dex, acc or w/e you want on it is what makes reverse weapons so good.

[/quote] Oh? I always thought that maker could be used to create weapons for every class after like 2nd level I believe? But eh what do I know, I always rage quit on maker some where in the collecting process

Does having 4 dex affect it greatly? Off topic question, I get the chance at gaining only 1 skill point for leveling reverse weapons right? not more?

Advanced Diamond, Advanced Black Crystal + Stimulator, Advanced Power Crystal If you aren't willing to use the above, don't make it. There's zero point in spending the resources to make a reverse weapon if you don't plan on making it properly, because you'll end up making it again, which is pointless.

Ask the warrior section, you will get better responses also i've heard the way hands affects warriors making warrior equips works differently to the other classes making their own equips.

[/quote] Black crystal + or - att? Stimulator might explode I'm making 2h reverse soon, but this seems a bit risky.

Well, i wouldn't use a stimulator i used 1 so far and it exploded there is a small chance you get +1 to a skill (brandish, blast and zerk i believe) at max level, i didn't get the skill on 3 reverse equips.

And again, there's no point in making a reverse if you aren't willing to maximize the attack on the sword. By all perspectives, if you plan on making a reverse it should be your final weapon. There's zero point in putting 45 pieces of time and various strengthener jewels into an item if you're going to replace it. None. You're better off using that money to buy a comparable weapon. Reverse items in general are costly to make, and unless you have the funding to make multiple copies, they shouldn't be made just because. It's a complete waste of meso.

[/quote] does the extra skill point only apply if you are not maxed in the skill, or is there a possibility of brandish going to lvl 31?

I'm planning on using a stimulator when I make my reverse equinox. I'd rather have it blow up than have a gray equinox lol =T

Use a stim...or sell all ur PoT. if you're scared go use like 20 10%def scrolls, see how many of those work, thats about your chance of it dieing

[/quote] well, for mages, you have a chance to gain 0-2 int, and 0-1 luk per level up. Not sure about other classes. Mine just leveled and I got 0int, 1luk. Fml.
