| Evans have the ability to protect, and fight the boss in Magatia PQ effectively at the same time. Using the following method, you spend most of your time attacking the boss, while Romeo/Juliet is safe up top even though nobody is up there with them. Recommended levels/skills: Level 80+ Max dragon thrust (you will have this if you are level 80+, if you aren't its highly recommended you have this maxed before you try this method) Lvl 1 killer wings Method: Cast your usual buffs, then stay on the bottom when it starts, with charged up ice breath. Use a couple of ice breaths to freeze the first summons. Next, go up the ladder and freeze the Neo Huroids with ice breath. Push both of them to the right side of the platform using dragon thrust. Jump down and use killer wings on the boss. Stand somewhere to the right side of the ladder (just under the ladder is fine if you have to) and spam magic flare. After the Neo Huroids become unfrozen, they will still try to target you for a few seconds (hence why you stand to the right of the ladder). Cast another 3-4 magic flares on the boss, climb up the ladder and freeze the Neo Huroids again (thrust if you have to). Repeat until boss is dead. Note: You only need to cast killer wings once. It will last until you kill the boss. Notable party members: Marauder, Thunder Breaker, Aran - These classes can push the boss around. Have them push the boss to the far left side of the map. From there, its easy to jump down, stand to the right of the ladder, face left and spam your flare! Pros: Boss dies faster. This is the most effective form of protecting for an evan. The Neo Huroids take longer to die, and often when they spawn they will lag and get themselves stuck on Romeo/Juliet, so the less often they die, the better. It might be possible to solo protect and kill the boss by this method. If everyone else dies/dcs, its even easier to protect (Neo Huroids won't lag), so you may as well go ahead and try this method! (I haven't had the opportunity to try to solo protect + kill on my Evan, of course the best class for this is CB + mesos explosion, and another class that can solo protect and kill are TBs, tried and tested successfully) Cons: Do not try this if you aren't pro. The average mapler won't be able to do this successfully. (Either they die, or Romeo/Juliet will die) Do not try this if you are in a party of noobs. Most likely, they will complain that you aren't up there protecting and die while typing, then blame it on you. |
