Well in the new kMS there was a patch. It was MapleStory 7th Anniversary patch! In that patch came out two new items came for Mages. Level 77 Wand (No English Name) Requires 0 LUK Weapon Attack: +56 Magic Attack: +91 HP: +150 MP: +150 INT: +2 Attack speed: Fast (5) Slots: 7 Level 77 Staff (No English Name) Requires 0 LUK Weapon Attack: +61 Magic Attack: +93 HP: +200 MP: +80 INT: +2 Attack speed: Normal (6) Slots: 7 Now from looking at these two we can see that the Staff is a bit... better for a player to get more m.atk. So I got bored and did some math (Simple Math!) Since this is like a small test... you can argue but nothing big... I am not going to read a novel... *has one user in mind* Now to be the best at holding the DDS you should be level 120. Reason so you can use all the items (helm(15), HTP (22), BB(5)) Now on the bottom I am going to write down how much (with my math) m.atk they will have with there items. Striped Lv.120 LUKless Meaning no scrolling, no extra stuff to power them up. There is two numbers you will see! Italic numbers mean if they are striped and Bold numbers mean they are wearing helm(15), HTP(22), BB(5) : : : INT : : : INT=Base+(gain from levels)+3rdjob+4thjob INT=13+(5*119)+5+5 INT=13+(595)+5+5 INT=618 Now I am going to be only looking at 3 items Maple Item lv64 vs Maple Item lv77 (staff) vs DDS Lv 64 item 80m.atk (+1INT) 80+618+1= 699m.atk 80+618+1+42= 741m.atk Lv 77 item 93m.atk (+2INT) 93+618+2= 713m.atk 93+618+2+42= 755m.atk For the DDS users (They need Zhelm, HTP, BlackBelt and Base...46LUK) Still need 34baseLUK. INT=618-34 INT=584 DDS 118m.atk 118+584+42= 744m.atk So there... it looks like at level 120 with Helm, HTP, and Black Belt The new Maple Staff will be better... by 11m.atk! Of course if you are like... funded and such... then that is a different story Since this is VERY NEW to kMS and the chances of this coming to gMS NOW IS SO.... slim to none?

Wait, what? REALLY? I'm assuming that every other class will also have level 77 stat-less weapons? lol, soon we're gonna have like level 130 statless weapons ._. (minus the ele wands, lol).

The DDS will still retain it's value for moderate to highly funded bishops. Sure it's a few more base MA on your stats, but don't forget a DDS user can wield mage overalls such as the level 68 set with higher base stats than lukless gears (sauna/yss/YWG). Factor those in VS lukless gear and that tiny MA gap can be easily closed. Though majority of lukless bishops will rely on this new staff, I don't really see the population of DDS users dropping.

no offense. you factored in NOTHING. all of the highly funded mages (1.5 bill+) will still win with DDS. did you calculate 3 ancient rings, 4 aura rings, 1 lirin's ring, broken glasses, lvl 70 gloves, shoes, and overall makered for luck and int, 18 luck targa..?
