My maplestory school project!

So basically I have a school project and I need to collect data. If you would be willing to answer these questions it would help me a lot. 1. Boy or Girl 2. Are you addicted to MS? 3. How many hours do you play a day? (On average) 4. What keeps you playing? (Basically, why are you addicted?) 5. If you have quit, why did you quit? If you had quit and come back, why did you come back? 6. How do you feel about your physical life? Social wise, school wise, etc. (Do you still play a lot and are able to keep good grades and have good contact with your physical friends?) And then the second half of my project is to see if my theory could help with those who are addicted. From what I've found, people who quit and drop the game right away have sudden urges to go play because they haven't played in awhile and thus end up getting back into the game. Hypothetically speaking, let's say that MS is like a drug. What I want to try to do is see if I can get people to get less addicted to the game (or at least cut down their times.) When someone get's addicted to a drug it's hard to stop taking it because your body is use to always having it. To solve drug addiction, people usually undergo a process where they take less and less of it a day, just enough to fulfill their urges. So, I'm looking for true addicts. People who play at least 3 hours a day, and almost every day. Unfortunately due to time restrictions, I only have one week to test this. Major edit: I have more time! If you play 3-5 hours a day, first day, cut down your time by an 30min Then everyday after that cut it down by 5 minutes. If you played 6-8 hours a day, first day cut your time down by 45 minutes. Then everyday after that cut it down by 5 minutes. If you play for longer than these times then cut down your time by 1 hour and everyday after that by 10 minutes. PM me if you are going to participate in the second part :D Just message me once a week on how you are doing with lessening your times and if/how your physical life has been affected at all. This includes how you feel about yourself as well. Even if you don't want to participate in the second part, I hope you could find the time just to answer the first questions.

Most of the time when I have quit, they had been temporary breaks, and I thought of them as such. Most of the time it was just due to being bored with maplestory or having a more entertaining game to play. 6. How do you feel about your physical life? Social wise, school wise, etc. (Do you still play a lot and are able to keep good grades and have good contact with your physical friends?) Hmm, I imagine my grades would a little bit better if I didn't spend so much on maple, but I am still able to keep a 3.8 average or so.. Social stuff always comes first before maplestory, so yeah. Hope this helped! Good luck on second part, I think I'm too addicted to try it though.You might want to take a little more time than just a week, maybe check in every week for a month or two, kinda hard to tell much in just a week.

When im bored or got nothing to do i go play maple. 5.I'd quit if my school would suffer from playing maple , come back cuz i was bored again 6. my grades are ok, my friends are cool and ive got a good life without maple. and im not gonna participate the second part =P Cuz im not addicted i can stop whenever i want. Its just nice 2 play maple when i finished my homework etc. When a friend ask me to go do something i wont think about staying home for maple. so.. ( if you need my age for some reason , im 17 )

If you had quit and come back, why did you come back? I'm currently taking a break as said earlier 6. How do you feel about your physical life? Social wise, school wise, etc. (Do you still play a lot and are able to keep good grades and have good contact with your physical friends?) Ive never had alot of friends, even before i played Maple. Maple didn't really affect my populatarity either. I take 2 AP classes get a B average, and I have many other hobbies.

1. Boy 2. Nope 3. A day on average....well I play usually around 3-4 hours during the weekend and that's about it so it would make it about .6 hours a day on average. 4. It's an enjoyable game and gives me something to do in order to kill some time. 5. I quit because the game got old and leveling took forever. I came back because I heard leveling was much much easier. 6. I'm with friends around 12-20 hours a day so yes I can easily keep in contact with friends. I get good grades, I'm in good shape, and I have a huge social life.

I started playing Maple Story a long time ago, and I have left over long periods to come back later, when I felt like playing a game. The pauses have not been of any particular reason, other than not feeling like playing. 6. How do you feel about your physical life? What keeps you playing? (Basically, why are you addicted?) - Not really addicted. Whenever I'm on, it's really just to chat with friends when I get a moment to spare. 5. If you had quit and come back, why did you come back? - I had quit once, but a few friends asked me to log in once in a while and I did, and logged in a bit more as the time past by. 6. How do you feel about your physical life? Social wise, school wise, etc. (Do you still play a lot and are able to keep good grades and have good contact with your physical friends?) - My schooling would be a lot better without Maple, I'd say.
