Do F/P Mages actually suck? I heard that they're one of the fastest leveling classes, and that Meteor hits harder the Blizzard. I made a F/P mage because I wanted to make a unique under used class, but now I'm not so sure. Thanks in advance for your input~ (:

No, I believe that meteor hits the same as blizzard (until the balance patch, anyway). They are really fast levelers though, when they focus on poison.

F/p don't suck, they do level faster then any other class from 80-120(if you do mist), and meteor doesn't do more damage then blizzard yet, after the balance patch they do though.

They don't suck, but... [quote] Taotapp : The fault lies with a man named Kevin Havens. Indeed, Kevin worked with team: poison, the primary group behind the f/p mage's development. Things were going fine for the first month or two, but when Kevin began what would later be referred to as "his sick obsession," his co-workers noticed that he seemed unstable on the job. In addition to his instability, Havens also began to develop an irrational hatred towards the very class he was paid to design. He was often seen sitting at his desk, mumbling incoherently to himself over a glass of Scotch. At lunch, he would confide in one of his only friends, who would later tell players: "Kevin was very emotional before he hit rock bottom. At one point, he actually told me that the entire class could 'get bent for all I cared,' and I could only run away in fear as I lost control of my own bladder." Kevin's attitude persisted in the eight month development period, until finally it seemed the class was complete. While most of the group marveled over their fine achievement, Kevin actually spat on the keyboard, almost causing the team to go into conniptions. He was sent home that evening, while the rest of the team went off, presumably to have lame drunken game-designer sex. Their only flaw was their underestimation of Kevin's hatred for the f/p class. Indeed, if they had only partied with him that night instead of leaving him alone with his unresponsive wife, then the class would have prospered. It is worth mentioning that before Kevin's unforgivable interference with the class, the f/p mage was supposed to be something spectacular. In fact, the f/p mage was the only magician of its kind. There was no healing class, and there was no freezing class. There was only the fire mage. When Kevin broke into the office, he aimed to change that. Indeed, over the course of a long weekend, Kevin designed not just one, but two other mage classes. Where the fire mage had trouble mobbing, he allowed the others to exceed in that very field. Where the fire mage used an unusually high amount of pots training, the other mages could heal for free while attacking and killing hoards of undead beasts, or freeze entire mobs if they wanted to. He blessed them with the ability to truly utilize MP eater, a skill that his co-workers could never have fathomed. The icing on the cake, however, arrived when Kevin created the shark monster. Yes, that's right. In a final attempt at getting back at the class that had wronged Kevin in no way whatsoever, he designed a monster specifically to lure mist mages, and promptly kill them with dispel. Office recordings show him laughing when he finished his devilish work. To be sure, Kevin had turned the crowning jewel of the office into an outcast among mages, doomed to forever grind alone in an underwater hell. He saved his work, went home, and made love to his unmoving mistress before committing suicide. The team, horrified by Kevin's death, submitted their w
