There was no guides or economy yet and only a few players, so people were pretty friendly and would share their drops and help each other with quests for free; it was like a working gift economy. But needless to say, it quickly became pretty corrupt once all the beggars, scammers, jerks, and narcissists flooded in from MapleStory... :/
