Should I get the police involved?

Well I am a senior in high school, and I have been bullied practically my whole life since 6th grade. I get bullied by a huge group of other seniors, and possibly some juniors, not sure. They are the "biker" kids, who always are sitting out at the bike racks, which is right where I need to walk to get to my 1st period. Well usually they say some crude words, but today one of them actually threw several rocks at me, and one of the rocks hit me. And I feel like using legal action against the group of kids for assault and harassment. I was considering talking to my principal or my counselor about involving the police to charge them for assault, but I am not sure if that would be a good idea on my part. And no, I cant stand up to them, cuz I am a pacifist and people who are pacifists dont do anything violent or anything when in a public area. So to cut it short, all I am asking is if you think I should get the police involved to try and make their lives slightly more difficult and hopefully make them pay a fine That would make me happy. Or maybe, would it be possible to get a restraining order against them, cuz that would satisfy me just the same, along with possibly including the fine.

I really think you should pursue legal action. No one deserves to be tormented in school, where its supposed a safe place for learning. (mmhmm) But if they find out, they might bully you even more. Try to get a restraining order against them.

I dont talk to anyone except for my friends and I dont even make contact with anyone other than my friends or people I know.
