Best earphones/headphones for iPod?

I'm going to buy an iPod Touch soon and I also wanted to buy separate earphones/headphones because I know the apple ones suck and break easily. Can anyone suggest me some good earphones/headphones under 50$? Oh and I should mention I've been looking at the Skullcandy lowriders are they any good? Thanks!

The iPod ones don't break easily... Mine've lasted me over two years now... Skullcandies suck though, I got a pair with the little soundproof things that stick in your ear for skating once, and they broke in less than a month.

skullcandys are good and i like JVC gels they are cheaper but last a looong time

[/quote] My brothers Apple earphones broke 2 months after he bought the iPod and I my friends had the same problem.

Loasflaofl the Headphones that came with my iPod broke. So, I decided to buy the Remote and Mic ones, left earbud is dead now. I'm still using it though, too poor to buy a new one.
