Why this game really is a waste of time.

I already made a quitting thread, so I dont need to make that again(thanks so much for deleting it basil) Seriously, try to tally up how many hours per week. Average mapler plays daily for an hour or two and on the weekends for 3+hours(x2 exp trap), and thats easily 15hours in a week. Then try figuring out how much nx you spend on this game. Dont come up with that excuse, "I mts'ed it" theres no way to succeed in this game WITHOUT buying nx(Sure merchanting works too, but you'd have to sit 5hours+ a day to make a 100mil). And thats exactly how nexon made it... I spent a few dozen dollars every few weeks on nx, with training costs, equips upgrades and more. So in my 3 years of playing, thats thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars, probably as much as much as the average mapler does these days. And for what? This game is dead. Just look at the company running it, they have no customer service at all, dont gave two craps(excuse my french) about you or your account, just your money Have you ever seen how many hackers are in this game? A simple google will find you a d/c hack on famous websites like IGN or gamefly. And you wont believe how easy it is to be hacked. Nexon has THE WORST SECURITY out of any online game. Hell, I bet addictinggames.com or runscape has better security-and hackshield is a joke. Yes I got keylogged, along with my email, and no I didnt watch adult videos, didnt try to become a GM or anything like that, hell I only used tha computer for facebook, and maple. A decent hacker could hack you by showing you a webpage, or sending you invisible files through msn or aim(Probably how I got hacked) Yea, I too thought I would never get hacked if I changed my passwords every couple of weeks and not go on any illegal sites I quit maple 2 weeks ago, and it feels great, not having to put up with all this crap. And probably the only reason I kept on play maple was because of my guild. Making a guild really is the single most fun thing you can do in this game. Making friends, building it up and going zakking and gpqing and stuff, in my opinion is the only real reason why this game was worth playing

To each and to owns opinion, everything can be considered a waste of time just because you deem it so. Plus if you enjoyed yourself in Maple, how can you deem those minutes / hours "wasted" when you were enjoying them to your fullest?

If you already quit, why are you posting? Why are you trying to convince us to follow you? You're not some genius who knows what's best for everyone. You're just a disenchanted player who got bored of playing a game and now you want other people to agree. Here's a bit of a revalation for you... ALL games are essentially a "waste of time". They're meant as a pass-time, a hobby... something to do in your spare time. Any game you play essentially is a waste of time, unless you somehow make money or get something tangible from it. All games are for is to have fun with and to kill time. So, here's a thought... grow up and take a hike! If you've quit Maple Story, then you might as well quit Basil as well. Nobody cares that you quit and no intelligent person is going to just drop everything and quit because some random idiot said to. I play Maple Story, because I have fun playing Maple Story. I play Megaman 10, because I have fun playing Megaman 10. I watch TV, because I like to watch TV. All of those are a waste of time, but since I enjoy doing them, I continue to do so! Just because YOU don't, it doesn't mean WE don't. Pull up your line, troll, and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

If you're doing things while watching TV, then at least you're multitasking. Going outside can lead to other things other than staying on the computer [like how I am now] doing nothing really. Going to school furthers your education, and eventually you can go to college and have a career. You can still support your legacies if you made enough money. But that all depends on what you do with your education and future. Making this post...well, yeah. I mean who cares about the people on basil anyways? It's not like we know them. Yes, this game should be used to pass time. Not to pass the WHOLE day. Do something else other than THIS the whole day. Why am I on here telling people this? To kill time before I go somewhere.
