Does the night raven wing have a slower attack speed, I know they both say fast but is there a difference where dpm would be effected? Aswell I know the nrw has a lower lvl and dex requirement would it make sense to get a ~117att nrw rather than a ~122 st? Thanks for any info =)

NEVER force yourself to use a HTP instead of a MoN; you might as well just add points into DEX on level ups, since the MoN is equivalent to 55 points of STR on the conversion of 5 str = 1 ATT, though this is quite inaccurate and the actual value in latergame is higher. The NRW and ST are the same speed and have similar reach (not sure if it's the same), though one requires ~90 DEX and the other requires 120 DEX respectively.

yeah im gonna use a MoN, but wasnt sure if the reach on the nrw hinders training alot compared to the st's reach.

I'm a Dexless NRW Sader and I also have a 40 Dex ST-usable Paladin. Dexless NRW will not gimp your range by much if any. The only thing you might lost out is a few Atk from a belt or maybe cape but that's favorable for the speed and 2H damage formulas advantage. (I have a screen of my Sader and his range is comparable to the ranges of similar level Saders in the Damage Range thread) As far as 3rd job training, I don't think the ST and NRW have much of a different in reach at all. According to KaijitiSoulz's super in-depth Paladin guide both swords are categorized as "Long" 2H Swords.. A short 2H sword is like a Lionheart or Jap Map. The Long ones are the swords that actually go up and cover your face when you're standing still.

First of all, NRW and ST have same speed and range. I never heard anyone saying otherwise, even the warrior gurus. I don't know where the difference range idea came from. Secondly, anyone who ever thought of using HTP to reach the required Dex for a weapon, that person doesn't know anything about warriors. You should not even bother to use NRW or ST if you need a HTP, just raise your base Dex. Dexless capable of using a NRW without a HTP is easily doable nowadays. But remember one thing, Dexless is not always the best if you have to give up Str or Attack equipments for Dex, that's a failed setup as Dexless.
jennygrrrr : im dexless, and im going for night raven wing's. just need horntail necklace and ill have exactly 95 dex.
That doesn't make any sense at all, A MoN >>>>> HTP(egged once or twice) My advice is raise your base dex. OT: Going dexless is worth it, only if you could afford a nice 1h sword(probably RK) and att shield or 130+ att 2h sword(which will be normal speed), with 500 mill that ain't happening. Dexless NRW/ST is also not worth it, because you wear all dex equips and have to give preference to dex over att, for example htp over mon, which is also not worth it. So my suggestion would be go for a low dex NRW user or maybe a ST user. You'll do the best.
Sakuraba : 5 str = 1 ATT
i calculated mine last lvl (141) and mine was more close to 4.5 str= 1 att getting closer to 5 str=1 att, it varies depending on what you have for STR and attack... it's still useful as a rule of thumb though. i would try to aim for NRW user, and if you get to ST user kind of dex while still maintaining dexless without sacrificing str/att ... go for it then
This is all a matter of funding and how creatively you can come up with your Dex. With Maker available now, achieving these kind of set-ups is not impossible or crippling as it might've been in the past.

in any case i really don't think it matters the only time dexless really out damages high dex is when you have high level mw, other wise its essentially a waste of money, in either case just go with whatever you prefer, ive always preferred high dex and my st

But yeah I agree it's much easier now than it was before. An extra 15~20 dex is not gonna destroy your damage by a whole lot, but that's just my opinion.
