Why do people hate final attack so much? I can see how it would mess up training to a certain extent, but doesnt it do a lot for your damage? plus, what's up "Hybrid" DK's? whats the point of being able to use both a PA and a spear? any input is greatly appreciated

I don't hate Final Attack. No, it doesn't do a lot for your damage. Guides. Also, honestly, if I were to start again, I'd get Final Attack (...again) if it didn't reduce the available points you can add into your boosters.

I have read the stickies, and I was just looking for some *personal* reasons for why i should or shouldnt get Final attack. what's the point of going hybrid though?

Going hybrid allows you to use both the spear and pole arm, so then in 3rd job you can efficiently train with Crusher and Fury without damage penalty (Crusher ALWAYS stabs and Fury ALWAYS slashes). You're suppose to use Pole Arm+Fury early 3rd job and Spear+Crusher late 3rd job for the fastest training time you can possibly get. However, going hybrid does not mean constantly switching weapons.

the way i see it is, if you go hybrid, it allows you to train in 3rd job faster. this is b/c you can mob with your polearm if needed. if you go pure spear, it allows you to train in 4th job faster. the way i have it now is i'll hit skels a few times and then they are left with low hp; now i can either use crusher again or i can use spear fury quickly to kill it. fury hits faster, however the problem is my fury is lvl 1 and isn't strong enough to kill it. but this problem will be fixed once i get higher lvl or get more points into rush. hope that helps.

The point in maxing fury on both weapons is exactly what you just said... To finish off mobs with low HP with a fast, long ranged sweep. What the hell is the point in maxing blood should be the real question.

Even after you lvl and put more into rush. On the other hand we have warrior pots and a skill that gives us 15 attk later on in 4th job (with a few restrictions). Easy decision in my eyes. b/c i don't feel like buying attack pots sirrr. besides if i wanted to max out fury on spear, i would have just gone pure spear in the first place. and as for the 15att 4th job buff, you do have a point there but my points were already distributed before news of the balance patch for that was out. before that, i wasn't planning on really making use of that buff b/c it would cancel out other attack buffs. so lololol all you want khala you jerk
