| So it turns out that the Korean maplestory ds is out in about 4 days. To be honest i think it looks terrible, it's not a real MMO. It is simply a bunch of pixels jumping around a little ds screen, whats the point if its not online? I understand it would be exceedingly difficult to create a MMO for the ds, but why not try? It would easily become one of the most popular ds games on planet Earth. For those of u have read some of the articles that say, "it is primary a single player game but has some online interaction", that online interaction are codes u can put into the NX shop for exclusive items. Why would u buy a pointless game for that? WTH? Just wait for some idiot to buy the game and put the codes on the net somewhere, possibly basil, then put them into ur game. WOW, nexon failed with this game, i suggest going onto youtube and looking at some of the trailers, in my opinion it looks SOO bad. I understand they will get some sales because it is such a popular game, especially in Korea, but i think Nexon is just tarnishing it's name even further by doing something so blatantly stupid. Just another way to make quick money without doing heaps of work. Shame on u Nexon.. *Flame shield on* |

| You CANNOT make a MMO for DS.. The system is just not capable. I think the monster/tile placement looks stupid, but that might be part of the story.. (The rifts everywhere) YOU make a MMO that runs steady for 7 years, then YOU make a DS game that is great. Don't think you can? Then don't bash it. And if you don't like it, don't buy it then, will it effect them? No. Also: Your name suits you, as you can't even post in the right section.. |

| IMO: Maple is fun because its online and you can interact with other people. And i saw the preview, it wasn't very appealing. I don't think its worth 30 or 40$ (however much a DS game costs). Its just a no can do. |

And if it doesn't look appealing to you, don't buy it. |
DS Maple isnt directly related with MapleStory the MMO, two separate games. On topic, I'll still get it, cos I'm interested to see how Nexon will translate Maple onto a DS |

| I think you got the game wrong. Well, if you watched the vid of the warrior using a lv100 sword using Dragon Spear on yetis, that is just the training levels. Once you complete the training levels, they send you to Victoria island as a lv1 where you will begin the story. As like real maple, there are quests you can do which is YOUR choice to do. From the quests you get money, exp and even your job items. You are also allowed to freely go boss hunting for scrolls + the rare stars. The story imo is quite long as you eventually have to go to every single town atleast 3 times where you will kill various monsters, get various items and also talk to various NPCs. In the story, you must meet 3 other adventurers: Bowman, Thief, Warrior and Mage. Depending on the job you are, the 3 OTHER jobs will accompany you in your journey. The end-game boss for the game is Horntail and the 3 other adventurers will accompany you in the fight. Of course, there are potions you must buy, items you can buy/make and weirdly, there is also Zhelms available and Maple claws...I guess there are going to be dexless sins in Maplestory DS as well. |
yes i knew all of this from reading articles about the game. What i'm saying is that the visuals look terrible, and that Maplstory is only successful because it's Multiplayer. removing the multiplayer from maplestory is just plain stupid, it doesn't matter what they have added or changed, it will still be bad |
