So about 2 months ago I flew out here so I could see my grandpa before he passed. I was staying with my sisters(Courtney, and Casey) and Casey's boyfriend Steve. There was apparently 1 rule: No violence. About 1 month ago I got in a 'fight' with Casey. I had went from a lazy basement dwelling leech who sleeps all day to having a good schedule and actually contributing. Almost every day of the ~month I was there I spent cleaning something in their house since I wasn't paying rent. I thought I had made good changes in my life. One day while looking for a job I saw an interesting newspaper article and since I was pretty isolated at their place (no phone/limited computer access) I decided to talk to some people on an IRC network about it. She saw me switch windows and assumed I was hiding IRC. A little later after I get off of the computer we start talking and the only part I remember was her saying "Things are going to have to change" I responded with "(Positively) Things are already changing" She says "So I guess you'll be living with mom then?" I was pretty shocked she took it like that and I forget how the rest of the conversation went but I remember it was cut a little short and although it was just a seminice conversation something had infuriated me. I decided to take a walk and calm down. After I put on a hoodie I yelled at one of their dogs to get out of my way. On my way to the backdoor my sister confronted me and got right in my face and started telling me I can't yell at her dog like that. I pushed her out of my space and she went batsht on me. I pushed back a little bit but not much. I pretty much just took what she was doing while backing towards whatever I needed. First I went to the back landing to grab my shoes. She fell UP two stairs after she took my shoes and I think she got a small cut on her hand. Then she walks away and takes my shoes and puts them on the road out front. I go to my room and I start packing my bag. While doing this she's telling me to get out, and saying she's calling the cops. I've been trying to get out since the beginning. She calls Steve and starts telling him her crazy story of how I beat her. I'm yelling(just so Steve can hear) from my room(like 10 feet away) to tell him the truth and then she says she's cut so I walk to the bathroom and ask where and she shows me her hand, then slaps me and slams and locks the bathroom door. HERE is where I very briefly 'snapped'. I started checking the door and then went to the knife drawer like I always do and I ripped it out(just a drawer) onto the floor. Now I know she wouldn't know this but I've been working on this my whole life and the second I ripped the drawer out I realized what I was doing and was just going to go back to packing. Casey comes running out from the bathroom and starts beating me with a large metal dog dish. I watch HIMYM but I don't remember that one. My sister and my dad are probably more on Casey's side but my mom is on my side. My mom and Casey have a horrible relationship, Courtney and her aren't /too/ well but salvageable. I don't know if she's only on my side because she's afraid to lose me and be alone or something but I want to leave, I just don't really want to leave her alone. I'd have like it if she and Casey fixed their problems because then either me and casey can fix our problems or I can take off and have few regrets. So not much family I can talk to. Not that I'm a very talkative person.

Can't really judge but it seems like a mutual fight. But the whole "don't hit women" thing is crap. If your rationalization is that women are (generally) physically weaker than men, and thus responsibly lies with the latter, why not just screw the whole thing and make it physically strong vs physically weak instead of playing the gender card.

I suppose your sister could have given you a forewarning about kicking you out, and the whole hitting you with a dog dish thing is pretty wrong too. However, further issues may have been avoided if you had restrained yourself from pulling out the knife drawer. In any case, I hope you are able to mend the problems with your family because family is very important. Edit: I don't think you're wrong for hitting her if it wasn't very hard. :x

As for family I'm kinda just trying to justify me leaving everyone behind and taking off. I can not stand my 'family'. It hasn't been one in a long time and I don't think it ever will be. Part of the current problem is I don't want to just fix the relationship between Casey and me but between her and my mom as well. I can understand that my parents will never have any sort of relationship but I was around them and I know how they talk and I'm tired of the hate my family spreads and I can no longer be around them.
