eBay... I bought a new iMac off eBay from a seller in the USA with 5000+ feedback, 98.8% positive rating. The computer was advertised to come with... >Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.06 GHz >4GB DDR3 1066MHz Memory >1TB Hard Drive >ATI Radeon 4670 Graphics with 256Mb of Memory I get the computer and it said "Condition: Brand New, Sealed" and I got it used. I could tell because of the fingerprints on the iMac's reflective screen, plus the keyboard and mouse were already unwrapped. And obviously, the box was already cut open! Then, I log onto the computer (already mad at the seller) and go to the hardware specs. It did not have an ATI Radeon 4670 (which I paid extra for), but instead had the stock NVIDIA 9400m. That really did it for me. I reported this seller to eBay (I will not make his/her name public) and then I got a message from the eBay Staff, saying that they're sorry blah blah... Overall, I was promised my money back. It didn't come after 2 days....so I waited. It didn't come for a week...then a month. It still didn't come from the seller Finally, it came. I bought the computer on January 7, 2010 and filed the complaint on January 13, 2010. I got the money back on March 26, 2010. What's wrong with eBay's staff and how they handle problems? I am done with eBay, and in fact, found a much better deal on this off of Craigslist (It was brand new) for $160 less than what I paid. Have any of you guys had similar hoaxes with eBay? I want to hear this. After all, nothing is done until someone speaks up.

Stuff like this has happened to me before too--I bought a replacement screen for my laptop and the first time the seller sent me one with no bubble wrap or anything and it came cracked, and the second time they sent me one that was definitely used. Some sellers are better than others with responding to their customers, but that sucks that happened to you =(
