Disadvantages of Going STRless

I was wondering what the reason many people decide not to go strless is? Does it have to do with their equips? Side Note: P/C on a 92 Attack Kandiva (7 60%'s) and a 6 Str 18 Dex Blue Ades (3 30%'s) (all are u/h)

It's because in the mid-3rd job levels a Low-Str or regular str bowman will surpass almost any strless. In the end they aren't nearly as good.

@above: Before 80 would be best for optimal damage. I recommend starting now, so you can use a metus around 90. Don't add all 5 points each level, just how much you need. You could be able to cap low with good gear.

IM NOT REALLY SURE [/quote] I think it is because since before 3rd job you have some bows that can match your level so your weapon attack on these weapons can be the same as regular strength weapons while having more dexterity thus having more damage. Later on though you are stuck with a level 64 bow and everyone else has higher level bows which will have more attack on them, and since dexterity our main stat does not affect bowmans damage to the extent as luck would for an Assassin it is just better to get more attack from higher base attack bows since it is more than enough to compensate the strength that is lost to equip the bow.

Because we bowmans get more out of their w.atk than they lose from their secondary stat so strless isn't an option if you want to stay strless until 200. I'm strless at 81 and I plan to convert to low str by 100.

I believe it is just about equips. All the high level bows require STR unfortunately (actually almost All Bows, except for Maple ones and the BMD) or else it may be beneficial to be STR-less to the end Good luck in any case

strless>low/reg str til around 100 (assuming both strless and reg/low str are fairly funded) as you grow in lvls w. atk effects you more and more where as dex stays the same. strless makes you ridiculously strong until those later lvls at which point reg/low str slowly creeps up on you and eventually pass you. no amount of funding can make up for that, since a kandiva is the best strless bow we have.
