| How to Pretend to Be Pro There exists a rare species in Maplestory, they are called "the pros". They are very uncommon, usually seen around Leafre, and Showa. Sometimes you might find them in the deep mining caves in El Nath; or the warm, pleasant farmland of Henesys. After a few months of investigation, I finally learned the characteristics of "the pros". Now, you can be pro too. The key is that you don't have to be pro to act like a pro. It's all about the things you do in the game. So here we go: 1. Temporarily disable chat/whisper, so others think that you're important and you don't want to be bothered. 2. Sit in Leafre, and talk about classes, scrolls, equipments with others. 3. Casually scroll your equips, tell others that you just tried a 30% Shield Att, but it's actually a 60% Earring Def. 4. Get invovled and become famous in the forums such as Sleepywood. Basilmarket would not be a good choice since there is a lot of trolling. 5. Start some random drama, act like the Maple police. 6. Get a creative name for your character. If you have things like "naruto" in it, change it right away! 7. Cash shop items are essential, but do not overdo yourself. 8. Talk about other "pros", act like you know them. 9. Limit your emoticon usage, pros don't F2 all the time. (Except NL's SS). 10. Always use abbreviations. (just like i did in #9). 11. Let others know that you dispise your poorly scrolled/unscrolled equipments. 12. Own some novelty items. Such as the pumpkin basket, unbrellas, snowboards, etc. 13. Sit in FM with a nice chair, seal cushions are preferred. 14. Get a large circle of friends. 15. Get married and have a huge party, if you call that party. 16. Use item smega with your best equip, but talk about something completely irrelavent. 17. Say hi to BL/guild with smega, people with many friends can potentially be pros. 18. Join a pro guild. If you can't, make your own, and get a nice name. (A good name is usually consisted of one word, and the word usually has a pleasant pronounciation, and has a pleasant meaning.) 19. Talk about the economy. You don't have to know what you're taking about to talk about it. 20. Pretend that you have HB/HS/PG mules, and show others that you're serious about Maple. 21. No looting while training at all, let the pet do the job. 22. Pretend that you have an ego. Do not be too friendly. 23. No heavy swearing, it makes you look dumb. 24. Pretend to be old school, talk about how slow training is 5 years ago. 25. Pretend nothing is good enough for you. 26. Pretend that you hate your 31 dex robe, it could have been 36. 27. Pretend that you blew up several PAC's with numerous chaoses. 28. Purposely ignore other average, or noob players. 29. Talk about Pink Bean, although you have nothing to do with it in the past or the near future. 30. Be vague. 31.
