So after hitting 110 I promptly grabbed Meteor Shower and went to Gallos to endlessly spam my ultimate. Fairly often, I'll have 9x Priests come to my channel and ask if we can party. Of course, I accept, as I end up with more EXP that way, plus they're always good for healing me in the rare event that I don't 1HKO a monster and get hit. Anyway, I'm shocked at how many times I've been told that almost all other 4th Job Mages deny these Priests. Are people not aware that they'll lever faster with constant HS? Or has Maple really become a single player game in which interaction is avoided? Thoughts?

Well, since I'm a Bishop and I practically gave HS for free leech during 110-120 at newts (back when Gallos weren't out), I can't really talk. But maybe some Arch Mages just don't like giving away free leech for a priest, that will eventually become a bishop and competition >:O.

If you think HS is awesome on 1x? You'll get a 2k exp boost per kill kill on 4x.

Some priests can be pretty rude and once you party them. Say you've been training for an hour or so and want to take a break for 5 or 10 minutes they can get pretty annoyed that you're not killing. People probably refuse just because they prefer being able to lazy train by themselves. I know I'd only ask a priest to leech off me if it was my friend (or wifey :D, okay, only wifey, she kills me if I cheat on her </3) :L

I noticed that since new EXP system (60/40), Holy Symbol EXP rate increased for main killer. I don't know how to explain it but it just did xD

Training with an ultimate is boring. I like being able to quit whenever I feel like it, and I hate the idea of feeling obligated to some random priest. It's why I made a solo class in the first place. Plus, it's so hard to find a nice mapler, let alone a nice priest. Knowing my luck, something nice would drop and the priest would leap off of the rope, loot the drop, and leave. I would rather train alone or with friends than deal with the inconveniences that come with training alongside strangers. That's really all that it comes down to. edit: And adware's post on the previous page is another reason that I hear a lot, but it isn't why I normally train alone.

[/quote] We're not talking about selling leech here, just being partied with a Priest for HS. You think using an ultimate is boring? HS well get you where you want to be 20% faster. I've never had one of these priests whinge because I could only stay for a short while, they're always happy just to have been able to find some training. But hey, maybe Mardia's just a generally nice place.

The reason why people don't like to do that is because they feel like they are getting used by the priest so they basically screw both themselves and the priest over that way. I seriously find no reason why people do that besides having an intense hatred toward helping people.

I dunno, if a priest asks for a party or offers me a party, I won't refuse. It's especially nice at Temple of Time when 9 times out of 10 anyone who walks into your map is doing the "Kill 999 of whatever" and is quite eager to party. The other day I grinded to 92 with a Bishop just like that.

because after they changed the exp party divider rate 20/80, its better to have a leeching hs mule than a nonleeching one.

Most priest at that level are just looking for handouts, They'll AFK in the map and wont HS. People have convinced others that all you gotta do is party with a 4th job mage and BAM you'll be 120 instantly, Just go to sleep and let them do all the work.

1- I became so jealous when I read about getting Meteor. 2- Best place to train at 105-110? If Peak, then 3 channels or 4? 3- I was gonna do with with my guild leader, but he just recently became Bishop...
